Sometimes the best session documentation is when you don't know it's happening. Andrew Lazaruk's Organic Mix was filmed, unknowingly for the most part, while showing some friends spots around his Canadian backyard.
"Southern Interior” is the part of BC (British Columbia) where I grew up and now live again, currently. Sitting between Vancouver and Calgary, I feel like this area gets overlooked sometimes. Those larger cities on either side are more well known destinations to those visiting this side of the country.

Southern Hospitality. I had hung out with Seamus Mckeon once when he and Logan (Derberry) visited Andrew in LA; but I didn't think I knew him well enough that he and his family would let Andrew and I stay at his house the night before his knee surgery. As our Lyft pulled up to the house at 3 AM, we opened the door to the house and hoped that we were not greeted by a barrel of a gun. Fortunately the picture of a teenage Seamus on a BMX bike signalled we were in the right house as we proceeded to wander through the dark house to our rooms while trying not to feel like we broke in.

Andrew Lazaruk certainly has a keen nose for an empty pool.
It's nice that in BMX everyone can choose whatever they want to ride. Andrew Lazaruk is one of those pool hunters. It's what fancies him. The search, the journey, the first encounter with the pool, the draining and the riding. It's a challenge each time to get the hang of it and to ditch security. That thrill never dies for Andrew. He currently is in Chicago, so anybody out there who knows of a secret riding spot, hit up this man. See what Andrew has been up to in his Last Call....Q&A.

Andrew Lazaruk: It was from United. A bunch of their new summer clothes, stuff came out sick!
Andrew Lazaruk's new 2017 video proves that he can ride it all, and with enough style and flow to make it all look way too easy.
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
