The track at the last UCI BMX SX in Chula Vista scared me of and some good racing at the last National race in Erp, the Netherlands… About 3 weeks ago we had the last UCI BMX Supercross (World Cup) race in Chula Vista, USA. I rode that track 2 years ago during a training camp. Nothing changed, but during practice before this race I got scared. Normally when I ride my bike I decide how to ride every jump on the track… In Chula Vista I couldn’t really control my bike the way want to, because some jumps had a weird kick of, especially on the third straight!

With Texas Toast happening this weekend more and more riders are rolling into town. Instead of sitting around doing nothing, the riders get straight to work and visit the local riding spots. And there's loads to ride around Austin. One park is a bit out of town but in Texas it's possible to load up the pick-up truck with bikes and people in the back so getting to the park isn't all that tough.Pflugerville park is a bit north of Austin. The park is located in an open area with not much around. Plenty of space to expand if necessary but the concrete park that's there is actually big enough. It's got a bit of everything and also the bowl riders have nothing to complain about. An extra bowl was added so they can claim having the "biggest park of Texas". The Northeast Metro Skate/BMX Park opened Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Hours of operation are 8:00 am - 10:00 pm through November 30. December 1 through February 15, 2013, the skate/bmx park hours will be 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.
The second stop of the Recon Tour PRO presented by Replay XD went down last weekend at Mission Valley YMCA Krause Family Skate & Bike Park (Clairemont). Australian Logan Martin claimed the top spot and earned $5,000 competing against Monster Energy teammate’s Scotty Cranmer and Kevin Peraza, and local pros Alex Landeros, Chris Hughes and Larry Edgar. The PRO contest was stacked with International competitors, coming from Australia, England and Canada to compete with athletes from across the states. Taking first Australian Logan Martin earned the top spot with unique tricks and original lines. Coming in second, Monster Energy’s Scotty Cranmer whose memorable runs included a helicopter on the step up and an ice pick on the MovieTickets.com mural wall. Taking the third podium spot, Larry Edgar rounded out the podium by airing higher than any other competitor.Advancing to the PRO contest from Saturday’s AM final, Jacob Bailey, Kevin Fabregue and local boy Parker Heath competed against the best and earned their way into the final.
