Go to Australia they said, it’s always warm and sunny they said... Warm indeed, riders were on fire for the qualification but rain stopped the event before the end. Even if we don’t know all the qualifiers, Alex Hiam, local from Australia, thanks to his temporary 3rd place is sure to make it to the final. We took advantage of this time off to ask him a couple of questions about this very first edition of the Vans BMX pro cup.
So tell me Alex, you are Australian, one of the guests of the first international BMX event in Australia, and no matter what, you are qualified for the final. How does it feel?
Alex Hiam: Unbelievable. I used to fly to attend this kind of event. Plus I’m riding with other riders I used to watch, like Sergio Layos, Ryan Nyquist…

Here's my personal section from the Feeble Life Wax project. A little bit old with a little bit of new. Clips from the east to the west coast, and everywhere in between.
OVER IT lands with this new video of the 21st century that takes us back to 1980's but with a great load of tricks and combos of classic bmx grinds, improvised by Diego Parisi, Gabriel Herbotte and the special invitation of the photographer Julio Fredes. The crew was recently commissioned to crush a skatepark on the outskirts of the city of La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hit the video and enjoy this great session with friends.
Back in October of last year we started a new DIG travel project. For the first one we teamed up with official partner brands Éclat BMX and WETHEPEOPLE and selected two riders from each brand to accompany us to a city none of us had ever been to or even knew about. Ningbo is about 2.5 hours south of Shanghai in China and had more than enough good spots and interesting locals to make for an epic trip.
Part 6 of the GoPro POV Bike Riding in NYC series featuring Anthony Panza, Dustin Lee and myself (Billy Perry). We ride BMX all over scenic New York City, weaving through traffic, skitching cabs, jumping on trucks, as well as dodging cops, security guards, pedestrians and cars.
