After Hong Kong I’ve been at the Olympic Training Centre Papendal almost everyday. Not only for training, but we also did some changes on the BMX Supercross track. The split for the men/ woman on the first straight is out. We have a nice triple into a new first turn. Than we took out de hip and box jump for a new second turn and a step up jump. We also changed the second straight for the woman’s.
There’s only one week left for the start of 2012’s biggest BMX competition: Red Bull Metro Pipe. The transformation of one of Metro de Madrid’s tracks in Chamartín Station is now half way through its meticulous metamorphosis process. In order to make Red Bull Metro Pipe possible, two weeks of assembly, a team of eight specialists and twelve tons of Finnish fir wood and naval plywood (more flexible and the most adequate for this kind of ramps’ construction) will be needed.
