On the first night of our summer jam series Naton and I came out to film what was going to go down. We didn't know everyone was going to go in so heavily so we tried to keep up with everyone. S/O to everyone that showed up and went in: Dylan Wright AJ Carvalho Eli Kravitz Drew Graves Red Naton Quincy Anderson Dylan McCauley Zilla Thearon Svay @__.michael._ And all the other locals that showed up, went out riding after the park session and everyone that helped another rider get to the jams.

Schon vor 10 Jahren war mir klar, das Evan eines Tages für die großen Firmen und Mailorder der BMX Szene Edits braucht und von Contest zu Contest fährt. Und klar war auch, Braunschweig ist und bleibt sein Local-Spot. Drum war ich nicht verwundert, als er in diesem Sommer auf mich zu kam und wir mit dem filmen im Why’O’Land begannen. Trotz heftiger Stürze und massivem Material-Mord ist ein „Welcome-Edit“ entstanden, die wortwörtlich unter die Decke geht.

FLAT PRO: Canadian DUB spins his magic to win Flatland Gold at Fise World Series in Budapest
Today also saw the BMX Flatland finals, where the top competitors had 3 minutes to prove to the judges why they should be on the podium. Taking first place was Quebecois Jean-William Prevost, demonstrating his unique vision of flatland BMX with high velocity rotations and precise back wheel control.
When asked how his winning run came together, he said: “I felt like I knew what I had to do and stepped outside of myself, like my personal meditation. Training for this, I locked myself up all night and practised in the -40 degree winters in Canada so the movements weren’t stressful because I’ve done them millions of times before.”
With the sun setting and the winds picking up, our top qualified BMX Freestyle Pros battled for top spot, with 24-year old Australian Brandon Loupos putting together a gold medal performance. When asked what surprised him about the finals, Loupos replied, “Actually, the biggest surprise was me winning today. I just wanted to come here and ride and do my best with all my friends. It was definitely hard because of the wind, but to win and stick both runs was a blessing and I’m stoked for that.” FISE veteran Daniel Dhers placed second, spinning and flipping all over the course with his calculated, technical tricks including his signature 360 tail-whip, grabbing 9,000 points to push him into the lead for the UCI World Cup overall rankings.

Logan Martin misses final in Budapest. Kostya qualifies in first at the UCI World Cup.
The Semi finals in Budapest were run under windy conditions but the riders made it work as usual and we're hoping for better weather during the 12-men final in Hungary on Sunday afternoon August 20th. Make sure to watch it live here on FATBMX.com.

Hannah Roberts has been pretty much unbeatable on the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup circuit. But it didn't work out for her as planned at the second stop in Hungary. A few too many crashes placed her on spot 3 with Nikita Ducarroz and Lara Lessmann beating her to it. It's the first World Cup win for Lessmann.
