The fourth event of Nitro World Games 2018 came to a close Saturday with an epic BMX Park final. The best riders in the world raised the bar in the debut of Nitro World Games BMX Park. All six athletes upped their game in front of BMX icons like TJ Lavin, inspiring podium finishers Logan Martin (1st), Dennis Enarson (2nd), and Ben Wallace (3rd) to go all in. That competition was experienced globally, thanks to the Nitro World Games Facebook livestream that let fans worldwide be part of the two-day competition for free.
BMX legend TJ Lavin provided expert analysis during competition and was thrilled with the overall
LOGAN MARTIN'S WINNING RUN - NITRO WORLD GAMES. Pressure cooker, but Logan Martin pulled it through on his very last run of three to swoop the win from Dennis Enarson.
INSANE BEST TRICK JAM - NITRO WORLD GAMES. I love me a best trick contest, especially when it's 20 minutes long and lets anyone drop as many times as they want. Winner takes $5000, so you know dudes were willing to get buck.
Six riders, three runs...everyone pretty much stomped the runs they wanted and simply attempted to add to them in small, add-a-trick type ways, so I figured just putting everyone's best run in order was the best way to show how the contest went... Either way, Nitro World Games was a damn exciting event. The bowl was amazing, the riding was even more so, and the vibe was on point.
Absolute insanity from finals and the best trick contest at the 2018 Nitro World Games! Riders include Dennis Enarson, Logan Martin, Marin Rantes, Ben Wallace, Colton Walker, Boyd Hilder, Daniel Wedemeijer, and many more.
The best BMX riders in the world squared off in Vista, California this evening with the debut of BMX Park, part of the newly expanded Nitro World Games. In this opening round, athletes from Australia, the United Kingdom, Croatia, and the United States battled for a coveted spot in the finals. Now that the dust has settled, just six athletes remain. Expect the competition to heat up even more as riders battle for the top spot.
Here is a recap of what went down in the action-packed semifinals:
Subrosa Brand and The Shadow Conspiracy present ONE. The idea of ONE is that each of these riders is as much a part of Subrosa as they are of The Shadow Conspiracy. They are as much individuals as they are a team. Each rider possesses a strong, unique talent and perspective on riding, but when they come together they are one unit. This project was the result of putting these 6 riders in one place on one trip to create something that truly shows they are a team, but also a family. ONE is a full-length web video with parts from Subrosa/Shadow riders Kyle Hart, Simone Barraco, Joris Coulomb, Matt Ray, Trey Jones and Mark Burnett.
