The first official hot day of the year ended up being at the first stop of the Canadian Concrete bmx jams this summer. Lafarge is always a scorcher, with very little shade from the trees, and a clean glaring bright park, it had more than a few riders heading for the adjacent water park to cool off! As always, the am classes make us feel like we can’t ride a bike anymore! Kazra Moseni got the bump from am-good to am-great, and won a new frame from colony for his non-stop shredding. In the am-good class, cdn cncrt regular Joel Dykstra, edged out everyone in this stacked grouping to get to the top dog spot plus get a new Haro frame.

Terry Adams recently did a Redbull Wal-Mart tour. He gave us a quick rundown: "We basically hit 4 walmarts in 2 days doing a demo at each stop. At each location I held a twitter contest and the winner was award my signature complete "flatware waltz" bike at the end of each demo. It was so rad to bring a flatland show to a unique place like Wal-Mart & actually give back to BMX in a big way by giving away a legit complete bike at each stop. With the Olympic Games coming up in a few weeks, Redline team manager Jason Carnes brought a small but talented squad to do battle at the Midwest National in hot and humid Rockford, IL this past weekend. In Elite Men’s racing, Saturday saw co-sponsor riders Kyle Bennett of ORP/Redline get on the podium with an impressive third place finish while Stile Industries/Redline rider Elliot McGrath took a 5th place. In Sundays racing it was current USA BMX fourth ranked rider Denzel Stein doing the heavy lifting for Redline.
