The Mellowpark in Berlin is an amazing place. It has held many events but then all of a sudden they needed to move. That move has been made and the new place is looking better and better. Missing was a BMX track so a concept was worked on to get something good going. Together with Red Bull the R.Evolution BMX race was created. The race will be held on August 24th at the Mellowpark and the BMX track is being created as we speak. 2012 FATBMX REVIEW: AXEL JURGENS INTERVIEW.
This summer FATBMX visited Eurocamp, a fairly new place in Spain ran by Axel Jurgens and his wife Rosario, home of the 2012 Vans rebeljam. Simply put, the place is amazing and the hospitality by the Eurocamp and Camping Pola crew was awesome. Setting up a place like this doesn’t come easy. We sat down with Axel Jurgens to see what it took to get Eurocamp going.

FATBMX: Where did the plan come from to start Eurocamp and how did you end up in this place in Tossa de Mar?
Axel: It all started by coming to Europe every summer to ride different events and ride with people from different parts of Europe. Since Europe isn’t such a big piece of land compared to other continents, I thought it isn’t so hard to get people to come to one place to have a session together. I thought Spain, with its good weather and being next to the sea and next to a big city (Barcelona), was a good spot to start a camp. The last couple of weeks we've spent on the road and haven't had one drop of rain yet. It's very unique in Europe. I know this doesn't happen often in Holland, and certainly not in the UK. That's why opening up your own indoor place to ride is a big thing. The 4Down crew, in cooperation with etnies, now have their own indoor place so evening and winter sessions can go on without any hassles from security guards, or that stupid wet stuff.

Glad to see the girls have some brakes on them bikes otherwise they'd be sliding all over the place. This is an awesome pin up photo. Don't worry about the bikes, it's all about the 4 naked girls in this one. Like, completely nude! That makes it too bad for anyone under 21 years old because they're not allowed to come peek in.
