Nitro World Games qualifying shifted to BMX Best Tricks on Wednesday. Eight slots in the semifinal round were at stake and, potentially, a chance to compete in the finals at Rice-Eccles Stadium – and on NBC in primetime - on Saturday, June 24. James Foster took first place after sending it with a double backflip no-hander on his first run then later stomped a textbook triple backflip for his third. Foster almost nailed an insane backflip triple barspin on his final run, incredibly by over-spinning his handle bars four and a half times (undeterred, he attempted the trick again, and landed it, after the competition) Zack Warden sealed second place with a rarely seen bikeflip backflip to late tailwhip (which he later called, “my unicorn of a trick”). Nitro World Games qualifying doubled down on Tuesday, with both FMX and BMX Triple Hit competitions happening simultaneously. The BMX Triple Hit contest pitted over 25 riders from around the world, all vying for just eight slots in the semifinal round and a chance to advance to the finals on Saturday, June 24 at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Riding on his birthday, Nick Bruce certainly had something to celebrate on Tuesday. He came out of the gate strong, scoring an 8.94 and stomping a perfect landing on his first run. Bruce wowed the judges even more on his second, and would never relinquish his lead. Eight BMX athletes (included in the list below) made the cut at Nitro World Games Qualifiers in Perris, Calif. They will now advance to the Nitro World Games Semifinals which will take place at Salt Lake City’s Rice Eccles Stadium on Friday, June 23 in hopes of a chance to compete in the Finals on Saturday, June 24! These eight athletes will be joining the top three podium winners from last year’s event – Colton Walker, Logan Martin and Alex Coleborn.

LAUNCHING OF THE FISE WORLD SERIES ON MAY 24TH, 2017 IN MONTPELLIER Rendez-vous on the Lez riverbank from May 24^th to May 28^th 2017 for the biggest Action Sports festival!

The year 2017 is pretty special because the FISE is turning 20! This is thus 20 years of history, action sports and share that we celebrate this year. Indeed, FWS will be featuring the best professional riders as well as the amateurs, in disciplines such as: BMX Freestyle Park, BMX Freestyle Flat, Skateboard, Mountain Bike (MTB), Roller Freestyle and Wakeboard. All semi finals and finals will be live thanks to SFR Sport  3 French channel but also worldwide on the IMG network and on FISE.TV.

BMX flatland riders enthuse the crowds. The Bike Days 2017 are done and dusted. Throughout three days the national bicycle festival attracted 20’000 visitors. As a triple winner of the prestigious Worldtour Matthias Dandois (FRA) lived up to hisreputation, dominating the BMX flatland contest and performing his signature video trick live for the first time. Despite the rainy weather things heated up in the Rythalle as ten athletes from seven countries faced off for the BMX flatland finale, performing incredibly complex tricks. As a triple winner of the prestigious Worldtour Mathias Dandois (FRA) lived up to his role as a favourite, dominating both the qualification and the finale.

Following a back to back showdown of rising BMX talent, the Vans BMX Pro Cup concluded the second regional qualifier rounds earlier today to secure a final field of 31 riders to compete Sunday, May 7 at the infamous El Málaga Skatepark. Surpassing more than 80 international BMX hopefuls in the open prelims rounds, Australia’s Chris James soared above the rest, showcasing massive airs and back to back technical tricks to clench a triumphant win, taking home the first-place prize of $1,000 USD and the coveted invite to the Vans BMX Pro Cup World Championships in California. Not far behind, Maxime Charveron, better known as the “Flying Frenchman”, demonstrated clean 360 maneuvers and giant transfers to earn him second place, while UK native Ben Wallace’s

€2000,= Euros for first, €1300,= Euros for second and €1000,= Euros for third at a contest we've never heard of before. Urban Waters took place in the South of France and these three happy campers made it to the podium to collect a very decent check for their effort.
