Sandbox announced the dates for the Core Tour for this year. Here are the dates:

2006 Core Tour:

-July 21-23 - South Street Seaport - NYC, NY
-Aug. 11-13 - Denver, CO
-Sept. 15-17 - Huntington Beach, CA (HB Pier)

To celebrate their 15th (!) anniversary in 2006, the HSA (Hoffman Sports Association) has decided to revamp their logos, looks and ofcourse a completely new website (hsacentral.com).

The website was built by the FAT webmaster Jos Wissink (four05.nl) and includes a completely new content management system, through which Steve Swope and friends can easily add new content to the HSAcentral.com website.

The new logo, ids and site graphics have been designed by Christie Owen (nuk-nuk.com).

The Psykopath crew up in NorCal are an enthusiastic bunch of BMX-ers. They support a great group of riders and just received their 2006 model Race and Street/Dirt frames.

Zack Held makes a funny face and holds the prototype race frame while Nick Valencia takes it cool with the prototype street/dirt frame in his hands. So nice to see the first batch in real life. They're being tested right now.

Here's a challenge for you. This week we're going to post 5 pictures and it's up to you to guess who it is. Every day will get a photo that is closer to the final picture. On TV you can win prizes with similar contests but here at FATBMX you can win nothing! Great! It's a personal challenge for everyone out there. At step one we're not going to give away any hints but we'll add info to every photo for the rest of the week.

Braun cruZer Tour is going to enter the second year!! Again, in 2006 the Braun Spine Ramp will be at Pro-Amateur Contests as well as at Music Festivals around Europe and will be ready to be rocked by top bmx riders...

Planned dates are (subject to alterations):

Suzuki BMXMasters, BMX, 21-23 July, Cologne (D)
NASS, BMX, 29-30 July, Birmingham (UK)
Rip Curl Boardmasters, Surf Festival, 4-6 Aug, Newquay (UK)

Each event will offer a prize-money of 5.000 EUR. The total ranking over the three events will offer a total prize-money of 15.000 EUR.

Eastreet and Big Beach clothing are organizing a big photography contest in March. This contest is basic and here's how it works:
-         You ask for a sticker on our contest webpage.
-         You receive the sticker.
-         You stick it in an original spot.
-         You take a photograph.
-         The best photographs win.

We had close to 500 voters in the 2006 new year resolution poll. We asked what they had planned for the new year and here is how it came out:

In 2006 I want to pull:

-a 360 over the spine        28 % (188 votes)  
-a tailwhip over doubles   23 % (152 votes)  
-a front flip in the foam      12 % (84 votes)  
-an opposite fufanu           10 % (69 votes)
-a flair on vert                        9 % (63 votes)
-the holeshot at a race        8 % (58 votes)   
-a flawless flat run               6 % (46 votes)

Sounds like we'll be seeing some spine 360-s and tailwhips at the dirt jumps this summer.
