Just a short note on some update on the boys:
It was bound to happen sooner or later. DIGBMX have finally got a new website up and running. Don't expect all sorts of comps for free products or a message board where you can spout off about who you think is better than your friends at riding though. The newly revamped Dig website is basically an extension of the magazine. It's loaded with overspill (photos and content) from the actual magazine, a rundown of the current issue on sale, a new web zine section, music reviews with links to MP3s, a Repo section, links and event listings. Dig Webmaster Dave Sowerby labored hard over
What is People‘s Store? It's just a new cool BMX & Clothing Shop in the centre of Cologne/Germany where you'll have the chance to see more products and some hard to find brands. Obviously it will stock an extensive wethepeople range but we'll have an unrivalled stock of other brands and related clothing as well. Brought to you by the guys of wethepeople and Janosch‘s BMX Shop. Unlike mailorder, you can come and feel and see the real deal, or just hang out and drink a cup of coffee or tea!
It's been a while since announced the Parano*Garage bcrossionale videocontest. The videocontest is over, actually since 3 months, but now find time to give you an account of it. After showing the videos in the late evening at the Adventsjam in the Playground Skate Hall in Aurich compressed the movies to quicktime format and put them on our website www.bcrossionale.de people started to download them and two days later the data transfer maximum was reached (50 GB a month), so the project had to change the hostingproduct because so many people where downloading the videos. Now this is fixed. Come and watch the 2005 bcrossionale movies, we have some transfer gigs in reserve.
Hey all. Was wondering if you would put this up on your website event boards regarding the 10th Anniversary King of New York BMX Freestyle Contest we'll be having.
It's fair to say that no one travels as much as pro flatlander Nathan Penonzek does. We asked Nathan to do write-ups on the trips he's taking for FATBMX. He's down with that so expect to hear more great stories from the Canadian Nomad. Here's his first travel column that takes you from Canada to Colombia.
The folks at Hoffman Bikes are going podcast crazy.. That's right, Hoffman Bikes is officially podcasting!
Achim Kujawski brought this 900 to our attention and wanted everyone to see it. Hope that's okay with the editor of the movie and the place they've hosted it. If not, get back to us and we'll kindly remove it. Until then, enjoy this 900 from Federal's Alex Valentino from France. He's a ripper and got the job done.
FLY Racing re-signs Pacific Cycle> In other FLY Racing news, we have re-signed a deal with Pacific Cycle for 2006. Who is Pacific Cycle? That would be GT and Mongoose Bicycles. Look for one of the most consistent and professional racers ever, GT's Randy Stumpfhauser to continue wearing FLY for 06. Randy's teammate Joey Bradford will be wearing FLY at the track and on the mountain as he continues to tear it up in BMX and 4X Mountain Biking. We are excited with the addition of the legend Eric "Big Daddy" Rupe as he will make his FLY debut coming up in couple weeks at the ABA's Great NW National in Pasco WA. The Big Daddy is also leading the race for the ABA 06 Vet Pro title. The GT and Mongoose Mtb team's will also be in FLY for 06. A member of that Mongoose team is Eric Carter. For those of you who remember, EC was a top AA pro back in the day and now can be found on top of the podium at most mountain bike events.
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
