BMX-ers have had their fair share of trouble with FMX-ers in the past. Let me recall the Troy McMurray vd Metal Mulisha battle that escalated at one of Todd Huffman's events. As in every sport there are good guys and bad guys. The good FMX-ers (read trouble free) have found themselves a gig at the Hardcore Freestyle Motocross tour that travels Europe at the moment. The first stop was in Antwerp, Belgium this weekend and FATBMX took a look.

Live Nation is the company that puts on the 3 stop tour. Frankly, it's a show and the people who are coming to the stadium pay around 30 bucks to be entertained.

The first ever Road Fools Rock and Roll tour dates have been announced:

There will be 13 riders on the trip (a.o. Ryan Nyquist, Seth Kimbrough, Brian Kachinsky, Brandon Hoerres, Matt Beringer, Chris Doyle) as well as three bands. Rock 'n Fuckin' Roll!

Dave Mirra, Stephen Murray and Josh Harrington Among Pre-Qualified Tour Athletes
NEW YORK – March 23, 2006– The Dew Action Sports Tour, the first season-long professional multi-sport tour for action sports, today announced its pre-qualified athletes for the 2006 season. “The pre-qualified athletes for the 2006 season qualified based on their 2005 final Tour rankings, showing that the Dew Action Sports Tour has successfully created the true season for action sports, complete with context that crosses over from year to year,” said Aileen Koprowski, Director of Competitions. “We also hope to discover new Skateboard, BMX and Freestyle Motocross talent through our open qualifier competitions and wild card spots.” Athletes are pre-qualified for the 2006 Dew Action Sports Tour’s first stop, the Panasonic Open, based on their rankings at the end of the 2005 Dew Action Sports Tour season. Depending on the discipline, between 10 and 20 athletes are pre-qualified.

Athletes who are not pre-qualified may qualify for the Panasonic Open and Right Guard Open, the Tour’s first two events, in one of the following ways:

Hello everyone! Ok, lets see, from what I’ve heard the rumors are getting out of hand. I have indeed made some major changes in the last few days, but nothing as dramatic as the leaving Austin to take Roscoe to race the Iditarod Arctic Tundra race!

I’ve decided after a few months of deep thought and consideration that I am going to officially leave the business side of Terrible One.

- Matt Puorro from Portland Oregon (USA) is on Superstar now. He'll ride a 21" Parkinson, until we make his first own prototype.

- The first Superstar City Trip took place in Lyon, France during 1 week of february. French riders (Clement Granier, Antony Lille, Julien Leyreloup and Julien Grenouillet) joined force with UK riders (Guy Terry and Tom Blyth) for 7 days of strong and smooth riding.

Düsseldorf/Cologne, march, 2006. The Cologne Youthpark once again plays host to the Suzuki BMXMasters, this year one month later than usual, between July 21st and 23rd.

The 2006 BMXMasters website has been relaunched with an all new design. You will find an easy to navigate site giving all the information you will need, whether it be directions to the contest site or accommodation details, through to up-to-date information about competing riders and the disciplines being offered. To your appetite for this year you can find video and photo highlights of the 2005 BMXMasters event.

It's an obvious concern to us bikers that city parks are going up all over America and not allowing bikes to participate. Like I said in my article "Bikers vs the Government" this is definitely verging on a civil rights issue. Battling the problem from this perspective is asking for a legal court mess I don't think is necessary. The best angle is to offer all the reasons why it's nonsense, and do what we can to help educate as many people as possible. Biking, skating and inlining compete on the same ramps and courses at all the biggest professional contests in the world so it makes sense that we should all be able to session the same parks together. Right now that's not the fact.

The 010 crew over in Rotterdam, The Netherlands are calling for the After Winter Jam. It's a flatland event that will take place at SkateLand (indoor skatepark at the Piekstraat 45 in Rotterdam) on Saturday 8 April 2006.  The place opens at 6pm and the classes to enter are:  Expert and Master. The afterparty starts at 8pm and Renato will show the FLATtv 7 DVD for the first time so get yourselves ready  for that.
