Justin Holt is doing a contest series in NC and Virginia this year along with his buddies Zack Rogers and Mike McQueen. They plan on doing 5 events in Asheville NC, Saulsbury NC, Cary NC, Greenville NC, and Virginia Beach VA starting in May and going until October.
Mike Saavedra is putting on a contest on May 6th. He wants everyone to know about the comp so we'll pass the mic to Mike: "I thought I would take the time to send you a flyer for the comp. I also sent a few photos of the park. (PHOTOS BY BLAKE PETTERSON). I will be adding a 5 1/2 foot tall box jump, a wallride and a few other goodies to the park. Practice will be held on May 5th all day so things move a little faster the day of the comp. The 3 class's will be as flowed Grom, Sandbagger and Bigtime. Entry fees are 20, 25 and 30 for Bigtime."
The Gymnasium Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo will be the venue of the next ABBMX contest. You've been able to follow the Brasilian scene here on FATBMX thanks to Charaba and his crew. Up next is a vert comp. The date is 12-13 May 2006 and there's a R$ 10.000 Reais Prize Purse. It might not be 10 grand in US dollars or Euros but it still sounds like a lot.

The autograph session took place during the 2006 ABA Winter Nationals. Each team member inked their signatures on specially made Kronik Energy pin- ups that were unique to each rider.
Philadelphia, PA – April 3, 2006 – Todd Lyons made an extra special trip to Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans last month. Lyons’s mission was to donate over 20 bikes to a newly rebuilt Parks & Rec. center in the hardest of hit areas: The Ninth Ward. The Ninth Ward in New Orleans was one of the neighborhoods that was flooded for weeks with over 10 feet of water. All of the kids in the area lost everything. They lost their homes, their toys, their schools, their parks and even their bikes. A week earlier, the park was still completely destroyed.
Vince Primel and BlackJack are organizing a trail jam in France. This is the second edition. Here's a little explanation of how the jam goes: The Jam is held on true trails with lots of lines. Registration for the jam will start online.We're having 3 to 4 groups of 30/40 riders. Each group rides 2 times for 45 minutes per day. It's a 2 day event (6 - 7 May 2006). 4 judges will watch all the riding both days and at the end of the weekend they will announce the winners. There will be free lunch for the riders, unlimited fruit (apples, bananas, organges) and water.

Matt Bischoff and Nate Wessel are searching for a location for the next Red Bull Backyard Build off. The build off will consist of 3 teams of some of the best ramp builders. Each team will compete against each other by building the best ramp set up in a 3 day time period. At the end of 3 days some of the top pro bmx riders in the world come together for a jam style contest to compete against each other and also judge which ramp builders built the best set up.
