Ricky Ratt and his Sheep Hills Locals crew need your help. It's not a donation of prizes or money that they want. It's help re-building Sheep Hills. The legendary spot dries out during the summer months and Direct BMX bought a generator and a water pump to help wet the dirt. Ricky Ratt: "There's a line that runs from the water to the trails. So we are pumping water every day to fill in holes and wet the dirt. We're almost done clearing all the bushes and the section we're working on right now is the 8 pack / boozer / styles/ paradise / step-up. It's me Ricky Ratt and midget Cory doing this."

2007 products will be dropping soon. First off is The Burlish frame. Jay "Sponge" Allen mentioned the idea that he wanted a real simple trail frame - something stripped down & sleek. The first thing to change were the dropouts - we slimmed these down to 4mm & used a minimal shape. The frame uses a mix of double butted tubing & a plain gauge tubing to make a really light, well balanced frame. To simplify it even more we used plates for the chain stay & seat stay braces. For flair we cut the Mutiny badge from the plates.

Dew Tour round # 3 was in Portland, OR over the weekend and Scotty put on another good show. He qualified first on Saturday and came back Sunday to step it up a notch. A crash early in the first run put him in 12th place going into the second run, he was last to go and the pressure was on. A solid run put him 2nd place overall for the day and puts him in 2nd place overall in the series with two more rounds to go. He was riding the new updated 2007 Sheriff for the first time and loved the changes. The BMX Park event showed live on NBC Sunday afternoon.

It's unbelievable how quick you can turn around a trails spot with 15 guys who are willing to work. For the last few days the Sugar Hills in Aarle-Rixtel got a face lift due to the hard work of the locals and even riders who had to drive to get there. Only a few jumps remained the same and we can use all the rain we get. If you're staying home tomorrow because you think it will be muddy, you are out of your mind. The Sugar Hills trails have proven before that they can handle shitty weather. At the moment it's a bit too dry but it will work out fine, you will see. The new bank to wall has not been sessioned yet so if you fancy some street riding in the dirt, come on over.
