Michael Ern informed us that on Sunday, December 17, 2006 they are having a nice little contest at the "Rollhaus" in Solingen, Germany. Solingen is located between Dusseldorf and Cologne and is worldfamous for knives and scissors. The "Rollhaus" is a small, but fine skatehall based in a former cinema right in the center of Solingen near the shopping-mall called "Clemens-Gallery". There are ramps such as a vertwall, spine, pyramide, miniramp and banks and quarters in different heights, built in a very compact set-up. Because of the compact set-up, there are a lot of transfer-possibilities.

The registration and training will be from 2-4 pm.

The contest-day ends at about 9 pm.

I haven't slept right in a few weeks, neither has most of the team. Now it's crunch time. The video that took too long is really almost done, I promise you won't be disappointed, but if you are, you can get your money back at the door...oh, wait it's FREE! INVITE ANYONE!!!

DC December to Remember Road Trip Live in the Southwest? The DC BMX team is hitting the road. Dec 1-9 we are loading up the bus and taking off from San Diego to Austin Texas. We will be driving through San Diego, TJ, Vegas, Phoenix, Albuquerque, El Paso, San Antonio, then on to Austin. So keep an eye out for the gang, and don’t be afraid to ask for some goods or even tips on so moves. See you on the road!

Vans presents the Heavy Metal Heroes Spinal Disorder on January 20th at Beenleigh BMX park. There will be Expert & pro classes only with prizes from Vans & Colony for the experts & a massive $3,000 Pro purse! The comp will start at 2pm on Saturday the 20th January 2007.

This is set to be the biggest comp ever at Beenleigh with coverage from Fuel TV & many international riders attending.

Today, 27 November 2006 at 17:40pm Veerle was born, daughter of Bart and Wendy de Jong, sister of Philip. At birth Veerle weighed 3345 grams. All went very well and both the baby girl and the mother are doing fine.

If we're skipping on updates here on FATBMX in the next couple of weeks, you know the reason. 

We have the final prototypes of our first frame from Colony. The Sect which is Kenny Raggett's Signature frame. Kenny is one of the better known & respected riders in Australia. Here is Kenny's frame specs.....

We're not aware of any BMX-er's B-day this week but we did celebrate Philip de Jong's Birthday today. Philip turned three and was ultra stoked on the yellow electric Quad that Uncle Paul and Aunt Carry brought him. You see, he's into this whole (B)MX thing and we don't really know where that comes from......... In the photo Philip is wearing an EBC hat that DJ sent over earlier this week. I asked him to "look tough" and this is the look he had for the photo. Aint scared of that Brian Deegan guy......

The Jam will be run like this: Both Pro and Am classes will be help in true jam style; 2-3 riders in a group judged by all the riders present on the day. There will be a bunny hop and long jump attempt too which should be a lot of fun.

The Park setup will be like this: Beach park in all its graceful glory and throw in 80+ pallets mostly supplied by a Durban shipping company and some 'acquired' from Hillcrest and surrounding areas. A crashed car has also been donated for the day, so bring a balaclava and baseball bat if you’re into that kind of thing.

3 building teams from around the country will be constructing a wide variety of banks, launches, wall rides out of the 80 or so pallets and a pile of scrap wood and metal to match. Building is happening all day Friday to be ready for the contest on Sunday. If you're keen to help out with construction be there Friday early! Each team is paid 500bucks towards a keg for the Saturday nights festivities.
