It seems like more and more people have crossed the barrier that Cary Hart smashed so many years ago at the Gravity Games when he committed to sending his full size motorcycle upside down. Some have taken a safer line and wisely tried to flip smaller bikes or done jumps with sand landings in case of a crash. Allan Cooke only knows one way to do things, and that's 100%. The Southern hemisphere is enjoying summer time and Charaba has started organizing BMX freestyle contests. Next one up is an Amateur and Pro Dirt Jump contest on the beach in Brasil.

Amsterdam, December, 2006 Four days till Flatground06! The countdown has begun. With only a few days left on the calendar, Flatground is approaching rapidly! Just like last year, we are proud to have Scott O’Brien as host. With Scott O’Brien leading the dance and our carefully selected group of judges the contest is in the right hands. To top off this flatland packed weekend, we have turntable wizard DJ Yoda and fine rockabilly band Superbird lined up for the infamous Flatground party on Saturday night!
Those who were looking for a nice X-mas present need to look elsewhere. The release date is set for April 2007 and not X-mas 2006 as many had hoped. With riding from Sergio Layos, Ruben Alcantara, Sandy Carson, John Heaton, Jamie Bestwick, Taj Mihelich, Joe Rich, Morgan Wade, Mike Escamilla, Josh Stricker, Dave Freimuth, Garrett Byrnes, Adam Baker, Aaron Ross, Brian Kachinsky, Danny Hickerson and Justin Inman it must be amazing.
This Saturday 16 December the FSO crew is organizing a mini jam in Amsterdam. The venue is Everland skatepark. The jam starts at noon and ends at six. It's 6 euros to ride and the afterparty will be at De Melkweg in Amsterdam. With the whole flatland BMX crew in town for the Flatground contest this will be a BMX party of sorts. Amsterdam is worth a visit at any time but with two BMX contests going on you might as well look for a way to get there this weekend.
