During the Bike Week Tilburg 2007 the Liberation Jam will be organized in co-operation with the Tilburg Liberation Festival. The festival will take place on May the 5th 2007, in the center of Tilburg. The festival attracts 15.000 to 20.000 spectators/visitors and offers a combination of music, lifestyle, culture and sports. The Libertion Jam is a best trick contest, with a set-up like the Red Bull Bridge Masters. That means there's a roll-in, followed by a jumpbox with a landing, followed by a quarter. At 16 o'clock the best trick contest will start. Each riders has several runs and at the end a jury (and the crowd) decides the winner...

Over the course of 15 years, Hoffman Bikes has seen the likes of many team riders come and go. Mat Hoffman and Hoffman Bikes have always been a big supporter of what is best for them. So, after six terrific years, Ryan Barrett is moving on. We cannot express enough how much we have enjoyed having Ryan being a part of the Hoffman Bikes family and how he will be missed. We wish him the best in his new endeavors. *Hoffman Bikes!*
The Moora Cups were handed out at the Winston Kingdom (Amsterdam, NL) last Saturday. The results that appeared on FATBMX on 1 April 2007 (that's right, April Fools) were just made up. However we were right in one discipline: The Dutch website of the year award went to: FATBMX (but it was damn close.....). There are some surprising results in the Dutch awards but that's probably what you get when you do online voting.
Catch the best BMX action on TV with the new season of “Props” airing for 13 weeks beginning April 1, 2007 only on FUEL TV. Based on the highly successful video magazine series of the same name, this season of “Props” shows were produced exclusively for FUEL TV and include weekly updates on the Road Fools crew and Props Mega Tour teams; an interview with the legendary Mat Hoffman; coverage of the contests and events such as the Kink Demolition Derby, Bone Deth Jam, Ratty Bike Fest, Rebel BMX Jam, and Backyard Jams; and highlights from the FBM Road Trip, and Texas-to-Toronto road trip. “The great thing about ‘Props’ is that it has stayed true to the core of BMX and has never sold out,” says Shon Tomlin, FUEL TV VP of Programming and Development. “We've always been honored to have the video magazine series on our channel since the start and now are excited to have it evolve into its own TV show. New hosts Catfish and Steve Crandall add a new dynamic to the series without tarnishing the laid-back, action-focused tone of the show. I think ‘Props’ fans and BMX fans in general will appreciate the new format.”
We are very pleased to announce to you the birth of the BMX Flatland World Circuit. The Circuit will cover three of the best flatland contest in the 07 season: KOG Round 1, Voodoo Jam and Flatground. At each event riders in the pro class can earn points and this will eventually result in a year-end winner. Goal of this circuit is to promote flatland in general so hopefully many flatlanders could gain from this incentive. Freecaster, Global-Flat & Youth In Control have already committed supporting the circuit in year 1, which means we get good and fast coverage of all three events.

The Moora Cup took place last night. It was a sold out crowd with live bands and the Dutch BMX scene present. Votes came in through the Mooracup.com website and it was close in some categories while other Cups went to surprising winners. With internet voting you never know though. We've got the Moora Cup winners here on FATBMX so make sure to check who won what.
We received some great news from our FATBMX associate in the USA:
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
