On 2 May 2007 at 10PM EST, all Shadows are meeting in an undisclosed area for filming and shooting the new Shadow Conspiracy video and ad campaign. The crew thought it would be pretty wild to do a prate show online. The goal with the show is strictly for shits and giggles. They are going to play usic and give you a chance to interact with the Shadow crew via "AIM" questions that they will be answering live on the show. This is the first installment of "The Psychotronic Pirate Show" and the Shadows plan on doing this for each road trip the crew takes. 

SANTA CRUZ BIKE PARK GRAND OPENING, Friday, May 4, 2007, 4 - 6 pm, 35 Pacific Avenue (the Fun Spot) across the street from the Municipal Wharf entrance. Featuring BMX Stunt Show by 2Hip Bikes and local riders, music and free snacks. Free valet bike parking by People Power. Bike Park funded by the Bicycle Trip.

The third year of Bike Hall Contest sponsored by Skupina ČEZ takes place at Ice-hockey Arena in Trutnov on Friday and Saturday the 4th and 5th of May. Bike Hall Contest is from the beginning one of the biggest freestyle contest in Czech Republic, which is specially build for indoor BMX and MTB Bikers. The third ČEZ Bike Hall Contest presents Park with lots of new and interesting ramps. This year`s event can introduce not only bikers from Czech Republic, but also bikers from RedBull and DC Team from Germany, Great Britain and Poland.

All bikers will be divided into Hobby and Elite Group. Hobby BMX bikers and MTB bikers have qualification on Friday afternoon and Elite group on Saturday morning. Top ten from each category from Friday semifinals and Top twenty from Elite Group enter the Saturday Show time Finals, which begin at 4 pm. There will be also two wild card bikers. And what about the reward? Prize money is 32 000 CZK and presents up to 90 000 CZK. 

The Vans Barak Invitational this summer, the 4 and 5 of August, will gather together twenty riders from all over the world, invited to spend a nice weekend in the south of France. The event will take place in the garden of the famous “barak” where Alex Dropsy is living with his roommates. The trails that are currently in the garden are being totally rebuilt to make new and fun lines, which will also be good for the big tricks. During the weekend there will also be an apnea contest in the different pools in the garden and also a “petanque” contest to involve all the international riders in boules, a traditional game from the south of France.

BMX-Girls wanted. Once again we would like to try and find a contest format that will make the girls to overcome their inhibitions. Together with the BMX ladies we want to style a contest, which meets their expectations. Every BMX girl is asked to send us her ideas and wishes and we will consider using those to set a new contest format.

This years Voodoo Jam is a part of an organization called the "BMX World Circuit". We will be one of 3 contest that will give Flatland riders a world ranking! Our contest is in New Orleans and the two in the circuit are Amsterdam and Tokyo! This will be the biggest flatland event that the United States has ever seen! Riders are coming from around the world. If you live in the United States and want to support flatland and its future, you do not want to miss this contest! 

I really can't remember my first day of riding a bike without training wheels. It was a long time ago and a couple of photos show that I was little, very little. As far as I do remember it was a direct drive kids bike that I had to learn it on and somehow I managed to stay upright. Today was a day to remember. Not necessarily for myself, but for my son Philip. After spending lots of time at the local trails on the Paul's Boutique sponsored push bike, Philip discovered the Haro Z12 in the shed and asked me to take it out.
