BMX events in 2026 feel bigger because race days connect with many other activities around them. A race still matters, yet the surroundings now shape the full weekend. Calendars show packed schedules filled with freestyle, flatland, and oldskool sessions near race dates. This shift explains why racing feels like one piece of a wider picture.
Staying Indoors While Events Unfold Outside
Many people follow BMX events while staying indoors, especially when major dates land close together. Live timing from UCI BMX Racing World Cup rounds in Papendal or Sarrians keeps attention steady.
Streams from freestyle contests in France or Germany fill screens during long weekends.
Ordering a team kit is simple only in theory. In practice, it can turn into chaos: different opinions on colors, sponsors changing logos, riders guessing sizes, and deadlines creeping up fast. A clean process solves nearly all of it. This guide walks you through the full workflow, from design and fit decisions to artwork files, minimum order quantities, and realistic turnaround planning. It also includes a BMX specific section, because BMX is not one single culture: BMX racing teams often need a structured, sponsor-friendly kit, while freestyle crews may want something that works as event merch and still rides comfortably.
If you follow the steps below, you will end up with a jersey riders actually want to wear, and your
Why not? On our next trip to the USA we'll be spending a few days in New York City. 5-8 February as a matter of fact. We know, it can be cold, and things might not be ideal, but in order to get the BMX community together, it's better to pin down a date and time and see how it pans out. Life can be simple like that. If 2 people show up, fine. If 40 riders make it, fine as well. The Brooklyn Banks are iconic for BMX. The public place is open 24/7. If you've never been, mark your agenda for 7 February 3-4pm. A short session indeed, but with the police station around the corner it could be over before it started if we start earlier. We should be able to hang out for an hour at least so let's aim for 3-4pm. If you want to show up and ride earlier, or stay later, feel free. The purpose? To get together to shoot the shit and/or ride. Nothing more, nothing less. No pro purse, no prizes. No entry fees, no registration.

BMX has never existed in a vacuum. From the early days of backyard ramps to modern street riding and massive video premieres, the culture has always borrowed from elsewhere. Music, skateboarding, fashion, and lately, football culture have all blended into how BMX riders spend their time when they’re not riding. If you look around a contest weekend or a jam, it’s obvious. Someone’s checking scores on their phone. A Champions League match is playing in the background of a bar. Conversations drift from clips and tricks to lineups and results without anyone really noticing the switch.
The Shared Rhythm Between BMX and Football
The IKONIX FS Handlebar is now in stock and shipping. This bar is the result of two years of my work to acheive the best bends with the highest quality materials and the most brilliant chrome polish possible. In addition to the chrome bar, we also made 25 FS Bars in the signature IKONIX green. If you'd like to put some IKONIX color on any BMX bike in your stable, consider a pair of the green FS Bars.
All IKONIX FS Bars are 100% chromoly featuring a modern bend and rise. Crossbar knurling enhances grip for tricks, while the narrow width at the stem junction allows for improved knee clearance. These are in stock and shipping now.
We're reaching out to invite you to support www.fatbmx.com as an advertising partner for 2026. FATBMX has been covering every aspect of BMX for decades — from BMX Racing and Freestyle to videos, interviews, reviews, scene reports, pump track riding, and the business side of BMX. We reach young riders (FATBMX Kids) as well as older riders through our Oldskool section, making FATBMX a true all-ages BMX platform.
We understand the BMX industry is going through a challenging period. Precisely because of that, we believe this is the moment for companies to stand visible and connected to the BMX community. When times are tough, showing continued support for the scene makes a lasting impression — riders notice which brands stay involved.
Our reach goes beyond the website. FATBMX content is shared daily across our social platforms, including Instagram (@fatbmx) and Facebook, expanding your exposure well beyond banner placement. We also promote upcoming events through our FATBMX event calendar, publish results, and report on BMX worldwide — making FATBMX relevant to riders, fans, and industry across the globe.
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
