"BMX, BMX, and more fucking BMX..." Roman Schied, the announcer of the flatland shows at Eurobike, wore the best shirt ever. And he was right. The Eurobike show had more BMX than I've ever seen and we'll fill you in about the new bikes and products over the next couple of days. The flatland shows in front of the FELT booth were a big hit again and hopefully we'll see some more BMX riding in next year's edition of the biggest bicycle tradeshow of the world. "BMX, BMX, and more fucking BMX.." That's what we want!

Osiris Shoes is proud to announce the addition of Darryl Tocco and Josh Betley to the BMX team. Hailing from Lindendold, New Jersey, Darryl Tocco has gained recognition in recent times for his sections in Transworld Ride BMX's video Insight and TwoByFour's self titled video. When he's not riding, Darryl spends a lot of time behind the camera himself and is currently finishing up Kink's new video, Safety First, which he also has a full section in.

The Twenty Jam in France is always one to look out for. Good times are a certain when these folks get to work. This year they got some special events and prizes together and everyone rode hard. We have a couple of pictures and the results for you.

As far as I can remember I started going to the Eurobike show in 1989. The last couple of years on my way there I noticed this little skatepark on the side of the road not far from Friedrichshafen but every time I was either in a hurry, did not have my bike with me or it rained. But not this time. After 7 hours of driving I was treating myself to a little session at Immenstaad skatepark. It's fenced off but open to all who want to use it. Klaus Dyba pointed out Tobias Wicke's signature colorway Vans shoe to me otherwise I might have missed that boat completely. I was unaware he has been working on his signature shoe at Vans and Wham! there it was at the Eurobike show. Congrats to the German who is recovering from an injury the next coming months and can only represent with one shoe. The Flathead shoe looks solid. Is a bit on the big side but it was great to see the air cushioning which should make them comfortable to walk in and it will save your heels on those heavy landings too.

Jay Miron had this idea of organizing a spectacular BMX race in Canada. He made sure things were as perfect as possible and hired Tom Ritz to do the track and made sure a decent pro purse was up for grabs. The only thing different for the racers was that they were not allowed to clip in. The Dutch squad did good in the time trials (won by Raymon v.d. Biezen followed by Rob van den Wildenberg) but they got stuck in the semis. Mike Day took over from there and brought back home the biggest check to the US of A.

The American Bicycle Association hosted the Blackjack Nationals this past weekend, August 29-31, in Reno, NV at the Reno Livestock Events Center, which is main stay on the ABA BMX tour for over 20 years. The Blackjack Nationals have a long-standing history with the racers and fans alike. RENO is always a must attend for the racers and this year they were treated to a unique track design. Billy Allen and the boys really mixed it up and we were told by many it was one of the best indoor tracks of the year.
