The Felt crew has been bringing out short videos featuring their ace rider Scotty Cranmer. The latest video is sick again. Scotty flairwhips in a miniramp and pulls a frontflip variation that people have been trying and thinking about for a long time. Now that it has been pulled, more people will follow but it was Scotty who showed that the trick is actually possible. Scotty might have slept a lot while he was over here for the BMX Masters but when he's awake, he's on fire. The next round of the Dew Tour will take place next week (FATBMX will be there) and we're pretty positive we'll get to see that trick in real life.

Groups of young BMXers from Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Leende have joined forces in creating three permanent dirt spots. The BMXers collected signatures of people supporting their project and approached their local governments, which eventually granted the necessary permits. The international Red Bull Backyard Digger team will come to The Netherlands to support the BMXers with machines and know-how in building the spots of their dreams. 

The Shadow Conspiracy is proud to announce the first signature grip for Seth Kimbrough. It's called the "Guttural grip". Seth is extremely picky about his grips and how they need to function for his riding style. Many of you may view grips as just some rubber on your bars, but Seth doesn't. Shadow worked with Seth for many months on developing a pattern and rubber formula that would give the "Guttural grip" the softness that Seth demands but also the firmness for longevity of wear. 

When it comes to BMX Freestyle contests Mongoose riders Steve McCann and Simon Tabron have been killing it. Steve can be seen shredding on Dirt, Park and is the new sensation on Vert after riding with Jamie Bestwick at Camp Woodward for the last couple of years. Simon Tabron most recently won the Mexican X-Games and has been doing well at all the Dew Tour stops, the BMX Masters, the X-Games and the first round of the ASA tour. Question : How did Megatour go for you ?
Answer : Megatour was awesome. However, the first night in Greenville we got to ride The Unit, and in the first fifteen minutes I got carried away with a tailwhip, bailed, and broke my wrist. My flight home left from the last stop in Atlanta, so it wasn't like I could just leave. I spent the rest of the trip caddying around photo gear and pretty much just being a tourist. I rode a little, but it just wasn't happening. I tried to make the best of it though. It was cool to see some of the South for the first time, and meet new people on the crew. Being on a trip with Ron (Kimler) and Chad (Kagy) was crazy enough; I would have never thought I’d be on a Props trip with those guys.

Q : What was your first experience like being a camper at Woodward?
A : It’s crazy how often I think about that week. It was definitely epic for me at that age, just the scale of the place blew me away. 

The National BMX League is proud to announce the hiring of Justin Travis to its Field Staff Department. Justin brings with him a background in marketing and customer service and has been involved with the sport of BMX since 1993. Currently racing on the pro series and having actively raced all of the past 14 years, he has a long resume of establishing and promoting BMX at numerous NBL tracks across the country. Having served on two separate town committees to establish a new tracks and parks trails, he has also spent six busy summers touring the country teaching racing camps

De BMX BOK is about to take place at the Burnside park in Deventer, The Netherlands. The Bok series is always a good time so support this indoor spot while you can. "5 riders, 5 minutes, 2 go on to the final judged by the crowd." Hmm, that sounds pretty loose! Bring your loud friends (Americans!) and make it to the finals in no time.  The date is 22 September. Doors open at 10am.

The ABA (American Bicycle Association) is very proud to announce that company owner; Bernard (Bernie) R. Anderson will be recognized along with five other bicycling notables to the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame induction ceremony is to be held October 20, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency, New Brunswick , New Jersey . 

Purpose: "Our events target at-risk areas, bringing together pro athletes to encourage, support from the online BMX community for exposure of underground talent, and dedicated sponsors for support."
