After many years racing on Redline bicycles, the national Dutch BMX racing team will make the move to Meybo bikes at the beginning of 2013. The contract will go till after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Says Dutch BMX coach Bas de Bever: "The advantage over the Redline bikes will be that each and every racer on the team will be able to get a bike custom made to their likings. This will automatically help with the process of becoming a better and faster rider, something we're always looking into." The Dutch BMX racing team currently exists of a.o. the 
One of this years Texas Toast sponsors, OAKLEY, went above and beyond to create special products to donate. These are the new style (and brand new in box) Garage Rock glasses. Matte Black with Bronze lenses and Bronze hinges. What make these special are the Laser etched lenses that say WARNING: TEXAS TOAST on one lens and have the 2012 TX Toast Gauntlet of Death logo. These and special Frogskins went to the All the top Winners of the contest, and select staff. 
To a big side of the BMX dealerships, mailorder companies are a pain in the ass. The undercut prices, lack of warranty, lack of local BMX promotion and service are just part of what's wrong. Thanks for getting in touch with the magazine.
So firstly, I may as well get this out of the way. Chain Reaction will never have a place in 2020, BMX on these shores or (if i have it my way) any Australian cycling media.
To take on advertising from you would signal the death of not only my publications, but the DVD's, TV productions, events I've put years into building up. I'd go as far as to say the industry I know here as a whole would be in jeopardy.
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
