Putting on a jam isn't too hard. You find a place, you pick a date, and you make a flyer. We've done so for 25 years but it's good to see others are making the effort. With the help of Facebook, promoting an event gets easier. After many riders were "confirmed" we decided to load up the van and drive up to Amsterdam as well. We weren't the only ones. We even had to wait in line to get in. Once the place was clear of skateboarders, the BMX-ers took over.
Within ten minutes the place was packed and it was chaos riding around the street style course till the lights went off. They did go off from time to time when the rail, quarter and manual events took place. A few bigger lights were pointed to the obstacle and prizes were given away to those who did something good. Simple concept, but it works and keeps the spirit loose.
