Mechanic: Me
How did you end up riding for Hyper bikes?
Nic Long: They reached out to my dad to run a factory team, and they wanted an Elite men as well. So, Dad asked me and the deal was better than my Haro deal... so I couldn’t say no. Plus, I get to help my Dad got for another team title. Like the good ole days.
You had a signature frame at Haro which had a long rear end. What's the benefit of the long back-end?
Nic Long: Idk if I’d say benefit, more so plagued haha. I almost can’t ride anything else now. It started cause I had a gate at my old house (that most had been to and tried) and It was super flat... I would have days where I would just wheelie over and over so I’d add a link, ultimately leading Derek Betcher to ask if I wanted a custom size cause my bolts were hanging off the drop outs.

Matt filmed rode and produced this cool little video before the lockdown.
Jacob Hager, Landslide Skatepark BMX Edit. **I’ve always said “I don’t know what I would do without this place”, never did I expect to have to answer that question. “This place was our home” is such an understatement.
