Latvia moved up a spot without having Maris Strombergs in Manchester at UCI BMX SX WC round two. Renaud Blanc's third place finish helped Switzerland gain a position on the Olympic Qualifying ranking pushing Canada to rank 10. Not all that many position changes but Germany gained a position as did Norway and Belgium. With riders getting injured this list could look different after Papendal (UCI BMX SX WC Round 3, 7-8 May). Papendal will be the last World Cup before the World's/Olympics.

Exciting racing happened in the finals at the second round of the UCI BMX SX World Cup in Manchester, England. Alise Post was leading the final until the last jump where she lost control and gave the win to Caroline Buchanan and podium spots to Simone Christensen and Brooke Crain. With Liam Phillips in front heading for his fourth consecutive World Cup win in Manchester the indoor BMX arena exploded as he crossed the finish line followed by Kyle Evans and first time podium finisher Renaud Blanc from Switzerland.
