BMX in Croatia? Yup it does exist. Ben Shenker went over there and reports on the street course and some party at a boat house. A bunch of flatlanders and I headed to Zagreb for the Bike Fight 2 comp. I was excited to go, Croatia is always a good place, thanks to the super-friendly people. The comp/course/event turned out to be worse than I expected. It was at a sports-boat exhibition, so space was limited. The course was really small, with a jumpbox I hopped up straight every time. The Flatland Ninja sent us this photo of the new KGB bike. We were thinking that he put on his Ninja suit and strapped a digital camera around his waist and broke into the KGB office to take the shot. Then we checked the KGB site and see what we found: Someone got into our computer and stole a picture of the new Psychopower frame. Who ever does this kind of things are just ignorant bastards and I hope they crash bad next time they ride, if they even ride. Hehe. Just kidding. We were going to post a picture of the new frame during this week so here you have it.

The first race of the Open Dutch MX Championships took place in Gemert. A lot of work was done to the track to make the event happen. It had snowed a lot and the below zero temperatures of the past week turned the track into a hard-pack track instead of a loose sand circuit. It was weird, it looked more like a superretard race than an MX race but the conditions were the same for everyone. Rob van Vijfeijken got the holeshot in moto 1 of the MX2. His dad had helped getting the track in shape and Rob must checked out every inch

For the year 2005 non-European riders are allowed to race the UCI European BMX Championships. That goes for the whole series in the Challenge and Challenge Cup series as well. It sounds like Dale Holmes is going to do the complete series but he's actually from the UK but living in the States. Who he can drag with him for a race or two is unknown but the races do count for the UCI ranking and that list is becoming more and more important towards the 2008 Olympic games.
