Freedom BMX is the longest running BMX magazine in Germany. They're at issue 84 right now and over time they've covered the German BMX scene from all corners and helped shape BMX what it is today. The AST Dew Tour today announced Dave Mirra as the winner of the PlayStation(r) Pro Moment Award from Orlando's PlayStation(r) Pro. Voting began on Monday, October 20, the day after competitions ended. Fans selected Mirra for his impressive no-handed 360 backflip, a trick he calls the air traffic controller.

"I'm so stoked to have won the final PlayStation Pro Moment for the '08 season," Mirra said. "It's been a great Dew Tour season and it's an honor to round out the year with the award."

Mirra faced stiff competition for the PlayStation(r) Pro Moment Award. Other Pro Moment nominees included:

* Ryan Nyquist (BMX Dirt), displayed his mastery of the technical barspin 720 when he pulled off the trick during the BMX dirt finals.
* Simon Tabron (BMX Vert), landed three complete revolutions to pull off a 900 on the vert ramp at the Orlando event.

So since the news leaked out last week, I thought that I would let everyone know what's up. Beloe Footwear is finished. It was really sudden, and literally came out of nowhere. I don't really know how to explain it without getting into a gray legal area, so I won't. Bottom line, it's gone. It won't be back. I don't know what I'm going to do, but will keep everyone posted. The StoppelCross season started a week earlier but last week we were in France for the Vibrations Urbaines. This week however I managed to make it to Boekel for round two where a new track was roped off in a chopped off corn field. A wet chopped off corn field I have to say but at least it stopped raining at 8am and it wasn't freezing. You always gotta see the bright side of life too. The hobby cross MX season always draws a fair number of (ex) BMX riders

In January the BMX community will head over to good (c)old Tallinn again for the next edition of the Simpel Session contest. The course plans have been released and also the riders list is starting to look impressive.
