We had some FATBMX jerseys made by our party buddy Franky Theunis of Bioracer in Belgium. They turned out really nice. Franky has been telling us they are using only the best fabrics over at Bioracer in Belgium and after a visit to their facility we were convinced that they actually do deliver quality product. We added some co-sponsors to the jersey for that "Factory look", hey, at least it looks like you are hooked up!
GARDEN OF VERT
A Belgian halfpipe event14 April 2005, Overpelt - Belgium. After a successful opening of Peter Geys' backyard halfpipe in 2004 it is now time for a bigger event. In the weekend of 12-14 August the Garden of Vert will be taking place in Overpelt, Belgium. The halfpipe-only BMX freestyle contest will be spread over three days with a best trick and high air comp next to the regular vert contest.
Organizer Peter Geys: "Last year's Peter Passion showed that lots of people are interested in watching halfpipe riding. With the Garden of Vert we're bringing the elite riders to Belgium for a weekend of true backyard BMX fun on one of the largest ramps in Europe."

-Goods bike shop in Portland Oregon on May 2nd, location of demo to be announced on the web.
-Adrenalin Games Parksville, BC on May 8th. This is an amateur contest that’s been happening for the last three years now and is one of the biggest events in the BC BMX year. We’re sponsoring the contest and doing a pro demo.
How can you tell this is an old photo of Martin Apparijo?
-First of all he's riding a quarterpipe. Martin is more know for his bar rides, infinity rolls and front/backyards.
-Martin is riding an aluminium PK Ripper. Enough said.
-Look at the helmet of choice, an open face. Don't see those around much these days.
-Notice the brake system. Front brake, yes. rear brake, yes. Potts modification? no. Rotor? no. The big number plate doesn't help much either if you want to cross up the bars 180 degrees or give them a spin.
-Martin is riding one-piece cranks. Not your crankset of choice today....

HARO UK tour 2005
Spending time on the road with friends is great. We experienced another week visiting skateparks, eating shitty food and slept at different hotels. We were on board with the HARO team in England and will give you a report on how things were. Check back over the next couple of days to get the full picture.
Day 1: Birmingham - Derby - Upton - Leeds
Some riders (OBG, Senad Grosic, Ben Shenker) arrived in Birmingham on Monday night and met up with the rest of the pack on Tuesday. After a quick stop at the HARO UK distributor we drove to Upton for a
We all want BMX bikes in the parks worldwide and people are working on this to make it happen. This is one for Park Owners and Councils to respond to. Please read Australia's Mike Daly's text first and then fill in the Survey. Only serious people need apply.
I think its important for BMX that we get as many official BMX friendly responses to this park survey as possible as Portland is one of the main sources of anti BMX feeling in the US (and the world!) This problem of BMX vs Skate is starting to spread, we are hearing more complaints from skaters in Australia due to the problems in the USA. If you could forward the survey form to any councils or park owners that you work with, I think it would be great to get as much positive feedback to these guys as possible.
If we can get Portland to allow BMX at all public parks, I believe that the
rest of the states in the USA will follow and we will be able to forget this
stupid BMX access problem forever, I know I have spent way too many hours of my life putting up arguments for BMX access to skateparks.
Deamer Media Design have made some new ads that will pop up in the following magazines: DIGBMX, RIDEBMX and FreedomBMX. Those three magazines are media partners of the FATBMX site.
The current FATBMX ads have caused some of the boys some serious trouble with their loved ones at home. We want to apologize for anyone who had to go through a divorce or got dumped by his girl because of the FATBMX party ads. We're just out there to have a good time, seriously.
EPITAPH has been a long time supporter of FATBMX and every BMX'er should have heard PENNYWISE's song "Bro Hymn" at every Worlds.
Now the nice people at EPITAPH provided 3 PENNYWISE CD's that you can win. Answer the following questions about the alltime favourite BMX song "BRO HYMN":
1) When was the first release of the song "Bro Hymn"?

Eddie Fiola: 1 foot aerial
Eddie Fiola had an interview in this issue of BMX Plus! Here's a few quotes from the text:"Eddie Fiola is a wizard. He makes things happen on a bike you just can't believe. Whether it's one-footer aerials, tabletops, cross-ups, one-handers, airborne 360-s or not-so-simple jumps, Eddie rips."
"Now 17, Eddie started out like most California kids. He jumped on the skateboarding rage at age 10 and soon gravitated to skateparks. The first one open to Eddie was Skatopia, near Knotts's Berry Farm. It was here Fiola learned the basics of vertical riding."
