Name shop: Planet Bicycle
Location: Atlantic Beach, Fl.
Employees: Just me and my partner Ed for now.
Did you ever go to school to learn how to run a (BMX) business or did you just 'send it'?
Planet Bicycle: No specific schooling. Over the past 30 years I’ve just worked in a few shops with different minds running them. I’ve taken the stuff that fit me from each and went with it.
Were your BMX industry contacts already made before you started your shop, or did you meet more people along the way?
Planet Bicycle: Over the years my contacts list has grown exponentially.
Who are some of the people that helped out in the beginning, setting up the BMX shop?
Built this last PURO FLAT edit in 2 waves. 2018 riding by Jean William Prévost, Part 3 of PURO FLAT video series filmed during Summer and Fall. The PURO FLAT 2018 Series is my intention to stay true to the artform that comes through The Flatland. Filmed at 3 spots in Canada and 2 more in spots in Japan and China.

Circuit BMX Shop: I’ve spent my life dedicated to BMX and have been around it for 32 years now. I have no business training. Just a passion for BMX and the family it provides.

Circuit BMX Shop: Before (and after) I opened Circuit I had done my fair amount of traveling. I had many industry connections due to travel. After I opened the shop there were many more connections as you would expect.

What beter venue than the 040BMXPARK to host the first official Dutch BMX PARK National championships. The park has attracted some of the top riders from the Netherlands who moved to Eindhoven just to be able to ride the park on a regular basis. Pim Scheers, Levi Weidmann, Daniel Wedemeijer, Milan Tenbult, Erik van de Wardt and Tom van den Bogaard now live close enough to ride the park multiple times per week with Shanice Silva Cruz, Jari Roggeveen and others making the trip to Brabant on a regular basis to get better at riding a bike. The Foampit and Resi section have given the riders a safe way to learn new tricks but at the first KNWU Freestyle Championships those two sections did not count (of course).
On the Women side The Netherlands could use some more riders but it's a growing process and with the attention that Shanice Silva Cruz is getting in the media, it's just a matter of time before girls will find their way into BMX Freestyle. Shanice grabbed the first Dutch title in BMX Park as expected doing 540's, flips and tailwhips at a park that she has visited for years.
The 8-man final in Eindhoven was of a high level. Riders are stepping it up and now it was time to shine. With DJ Winchester bringing the tunes, Dutch national TV filming and a big crowd on the balcony the riders went in full force. 2 runs each, best run counts. The format allowed for the riders to shoot for their best run possible and do it twice. Daniel Wedemeijer had an unfortunate crash on a flair-whip and hurt his hand during run one and did not get the result he wanted.
DAILY GRIND BMX: REROUTING - DAN CONWAY (FULL SECTION). Prepare to scrape your jaw off the floor after watching this. Dan Conway dropped hammer after hammer for his Daily Grind ReRouting section! That last clip is one of the most epic feeble crooks of all time!

Here's a very interesting project done by our team rider Janis Bauska and his long time friend and BMX videographer Artūrs Lūriņš. Here's a few words from Artūrs on how all of this came to life.
