Shaun Scarfe at Four 1 Four Ltd has been working hard to get the Resi here on time and he has done well, it arrives on Monday! (don't even ask him about the customs/taxes/VAT crap nightmare bullshit that he has had to wade through to get it in to the UK, but it's done now so good job Shaun). The Resi Frames are up and virtually ready for a surface to go on. The Main Vert ramp is now taking its last surface which as you can see from the pictures is going on diagonally and we are taking our time to get the sheets fitting perfectly so that the ramp feels reallly smooth and fast.
Mike Laird built up a new bike for 2008. His choice was the new Mirraco Blend Lite frame with a 20.7 inch headtube. As you can tell from his parts list he is sponsored by Demolition. The total weight of his bike comes down to 23. lbs. Here’s how he did it:

You are a member of the Dutch BMX team that is trying to score points to get as many tickets for the Olympics as possible. How many Elite men riders do you think Holland will be sending to the 2008 Games? We are in current 2nd place so I think we can send 3 male riders if we don’t do anything stupid... and we are hoping to send 1 woman.
You recently got nominated as an Olympic athlete. What advantages does this have?

"9 thousand square foot of ramps and 9 weeks, It was a nightmare, had 2 tear It down, sell tha house and move on! Tha ramps R being built by John Povah Ndoors @ Gaint Bikes, I found a home 4 them. I tore most of tha ramps down solo and almost went Insane but NEVER broke down. Danny Williams and crew snaged tha VERT ramp and took It 2 AZ, much. luv 2 him and his homies! U know I learned that everybodys around 2 ride but not 2 build, tear down or chip N any money 4 tha ramps!
Good work requires time. Let's use that excuse for the delay of the Red Cross adventures movie to come out months after the contest took place in Hechtel, Belgium. We reported about the contest earlier but now you can see a high quality movie clip here on FATBMX. The clip shows what went on at the town square; a dirt comp, live bands and vert riding. And lots of beers.
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
