The last Canadian concrete jam came and went at Canada’s oldest and most famous Skatepark: sSeylynn in North Vancouver. The lotek and etnies teams were in attendance, and this classic snake run to bowl got sessioned like it never has before. The locals were even impressed (even the 26+ year riding vet of seylynn, Mr. Ron Mercer). The ams were ready for the big gaps, and huge transfers; with Nick Muryn making all the big gaps with style and height. It was his first time riding this park, which all of us found hard to believe. The “sunshine coast” area breeds talent on a BMX: Dustin G, Wade Laljar, Nathan Penonzek, and now Nick Muryn. Must be something about fresh air and clean water…
Last weekend the Evolution 3 contest took place in Domzale Slovenia. The local park is one of the smallest you will see but is one of the best in our county. Yes Slovenia is still one of countries who spends way too much money in football , skiing…and don’t give a f**k about extreme sports. Luckily Evolution BMX shop opened this year so we can buy some BMX bikes and parts in Slovenia. And now we are negotiating to get our first indoor place in Slovenia.

BMX is who I am, and how I live. 2006 has marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life by fulfilling the dream of starting a BMX bike company from the ground up. Building a brand to me isn't just selling a product but more about living a lifestyle that encourages us to create products that capture the quality, look and feel that is lacking in BMX. All while supporting the riders and artists who have inspired and supported us! Subrosa will create a product line with all our riders involved 100%. That level of involvement with Subrosa and the fusion of premium materials, state-of- the-art craftsmanship, and love of BMX will soon produce a collection that BMX can be proud to offer. I have teamed up with American Mentality, Inc. and Sparky’s Distribution to launch Subrosa’s initial products at the end of 2006 and early 2007.

Kent, WA – Since its June release, the Diamondback Accomplice has proven itself to be a nice / positive addition to society. The release of the Accomplice was thought by some to be a little early, but the only thing the $525 bike has been found to be guilty of is providing consumers with more for their money than any other complete on the market. Diamondback has combined designs from the Northwest to Florida to develop the all new Accomplice - equipped with Shadow Conspiracy components.

The latest Eurobike trade show in Friedrichshafen, Germany was the biggest one ever. Even for BMX it had quite a bit to offer. Usually it's the same few big brands that show the new product but the 2006 version of it had the biggest ('core) German BMX distributors (Allride, G&S, La Finca, Unity) display their new stuff. Some had a booth outside (Allride, KingKong, Kuwahara, Perv and they were lucky with the super weather in Friedrichshafen. It was a stacked show which had over 31,000 trade visitors, 19,684 visitors on the Open House Day and 1,064 journalists from 32 countries.
