The Inaugural Battle of Hastings BMX contest will take place at The Source Park on the weekend of September 10-11th 2016. The World's top riders will compete in an innovative format for a share of the 18,000 Euro Pro purse. The original Battle of Hastings took place in 1066 and this year with the 950 year festivities, we're putting Hastings back on the international contest scene with our version of the Battle of Hastings to celebrate the first big BMX contest at the Source Park.
There will also be an open qualifier event for all riders including AM’s at the Source Park on July 23rd, in support of BMX Day 2016.
10 Junior riders made the final and jumped back up on the BMX Park course in Reims at 10am in the morning on Sunday. No time to sleep in, the big final was coming up. The order after qualifying didn't change much. Only Gilles Theys from Belgium sneaked Michael Michiel's podium spot and got third. Arthur Braga rode to a solid 2nd spot and Jari Roggeveen pulled out all stops to win the Junior class. Flips and 360-s over the box, flairs both ways, the boy from Katwijk aan Zee does it all.

It's time for Norway to step things up in the Elite class on the BMX track. Tore Navrestad and Hegen Haga claimed the 2016 Norwegian BMX titles but Tore only had 3 competitors to beat and Hegen only had to roll in to become Norwegian national champion in Elite Women BMX. It's time for at least two girls to roll down that hill in 2017 to make the podium complete.
