Back in the 80's Lee Reynolds was a charismatic guy on the BMX scene, and still is a charismatic guy today. Lee Reynolds was a name that blew up in the mid 80's as BMX was falling down in the UK, despite the some what lengthy distance between Milton Keynes and London, he became one of the locals of meanwhile quarter pipes crew that would feature regularly in BMX Action bike.
The Redline RL 20 II Prostyler tube set remains one of, if not THE, most innovative and complex of any BMX frame, fork, and handlebar combinations ever designed. The first (of many) steps in the manufacturing process is "swaging" or, in non-engineering language, "tapering" the USA made 4130 tubing to achieve the sleek aesthetic the Redline RL 20 II Prostyler is revered for. Our raw tubing begins its journey in San Diego before heading north on the 5 Freeway to south Los Angeles, to take its new form in our proprietary swaging dyes. The material is literally forced into its new dimensional profile in a rotary swager. And the complexity doesn't end there, as we create custom pressure and bending dyes to enable the tapered tubing to be adequately secured in the bending
The Flight Crank remains the costliest and most labor-intensive product to manufacture due to the many different processes and vendors required to build it. Although we constantly strive to improve our efficiency, the Flight Crank will remain and in-demand component. You can now purchase these beautiful Replica Redline by Kastan 401 Series Flight Cranks. 150 sets are in production that will be delivered in November 2023. This batch represents the final availability for the 2023 calendar year.

The flat 1 foot table off the curb cut in San Diego. After years of tracking down parts and talking to him and Brad Blanchard on how the bike was built It was finally finished. Vic hit me up in Late Aug 2023 and how to swing by my shop to get his brakes dialed in so we made an impromptu vid talking about the bike. Sorry about the traffic noise this vid was off the cuff.
