Scheveningen Beach was the place to be on Saturday, September 6th, as FAT AIR took over the shoreline with a massive display of BMX talent, heavy tricks, and good vibes. Under perfect sunny skies, a stoked crowd gathered to witness some of the wildest riding the Dutch coast has ever seen. The event drew in a stacked lineup of riders, but by the end of the day three names stood tall on the podium. Pim Scheers claimed the top spot with an absolute hammer of a run, highlighted by his jaw-dropping frontflip forward bike flip. The move had the crowd on their feet and cemented his win in Scheveningen. Coming in second, Jari Roggeveen showed he’s not afraid to send it to the moon, throwing down a massive triple backflip on the airbag set up right on the beach. His commitment and execution had everyone buzzing. In third place, Philipp Schuster kept the energy high with his smooth style and big tricks, rounding out a top-three that perfectly reflected the progressive riding of the day.
Beyond the podium, the vibe was just as important as the tricks. The mix of sun, sand, and BMX energy gave the event a festival feel, and the afterparty sealed the deal. Riders and fans came together to celebrate an unforgettable day of progression, community, and pure stoke.
FAT AIR once again proved that BMX on the beach isn’t just about the riding—it’s about creating moments that stick with you long after the sun goes down. With tricks like we saw this weekend, Scheveningen has officially earned its spot on the freestyle map.

It was that time of the year again, the Dutch (Open) national dirt championship. For the third time this fantastic contest was held at BMX Amsterdam. Good vibes, great weather, BBQ and a great contest is what this day was all about. Around one hundred boys and girls from all ages competed in their own category for the title “Best Dutch dirt rider”. As expected after the last two years, this year was no exception. The level of riding was even higher than the previous series. From small kids throwing around the bars and whips to the pro’s throwing one flip combo after another.
Eventually the day was sealed with the pro finals where Pim Scheers took the win and prolonging his title with a great run that even included a front bikeflip.

The 2025 edition of the FATJAM went down last Saturday in Aarle-Rixtel, continuing a tradition that started back in 1988. For nearly four decades, the FATJAM has been a fixture in the BMX calendar, bringing riders and friends together for one simple reason: to have a good time on bikes. This year’s jam once again delivered that classic mix of dirt, good vibes, and community spirit. The dirt jumps were the main stage, with riders of all levels dropping in, sending it, and pushing each other throughout the day. New for this edition was the pump track and airbag setup, which proved to be crowd favorites. The pump track kept things flowing, while the airbag gave riders a safe place to test tricks, from first backflips to big sends.
As always, FATJAM isn’t just about riding—it’s about hanging out. Free hamburgers were on the grill, toilets and parking were sorted, and everything was free to attend, ride, or spectate. That accessibility makes it an easy and affordable day out, whether you’re a hardcore rider or a family just checking out the scene. The weather played along this year, adding to the relaxed, cozy atmosphere that FATJAM is known for. No stress, just BMX.
Sponsors came through with prizes for the riders—stickers, shirts, and plenty of BMX parts found their way into the hands of those who sent it the hardest, or simply had the best vibe on the day. But at FATJAM, it’s never really about who wins. The real prize is the session itself, riding and laughing together until the sun starts to set.
