After organizing plenty of events together such as the Nass series, the Urban Games and the Bike Show contests, Zach Shaw has parted company with Shaun Scarfe/414 productions on the 28th Feb 05.
Zach Shaw: "Four 1 Four will continue without me as will the events. I want to work on other projects and devote more time to riding and family. The events for me were going in the wrong direction so I decided to resign as a director at Four 1 Four......I wish Shaun luck."
The split was on good terms. Zach Shaw is still working for VANS.

Ben has had to deal with several injuries over the last few years. The latest is a bit strange:
"I'm off my bike again for a week or so, a fucking dog bit me real bad. I had to have stiches in my finger, actually almost totally destroyed it. I felt its teeth hit against my finger bone on both sides. I got 4 stiches
as did my dog. To top things off, it ended up the dog had no vaccine

Scotty Cranmer has been riding non-stop all winter and his tricks are getting crazier and crazier. Back flip double whips, front flip variations, switch footed stuff plus much more. Check out the May 05 issue of Ride USA for a Fox poster showing a front flip turndown... If Scotty is not at the Incline Club he is usually busy with his new non-bike riding pass time of paintballing. Speaking of Incline Club, it got a face lift a few weeks ago and I have heard a lot of good things about it. 
Staats Pick s Up Top MX racer
Staats Bicycles is pleased to announce hooking up a sponsorship deal with 2004 Woman Motocross Champion Jessica Patterson. Jessica is one of the most dominate female motocross riders in the world and she is going to assist Staats Bicycle’s cross marketing effort to the motocross community. Many motocross stars starting riding BMX bikes before moving to motocross. The basic bike handling skills learned from BMX attributed to teaching riders like Jeremy McGrath how to ride with precession and finesse. 
The first issue of Twenty BMX Mag (USA) is beginning to ship, and will be on newsstands on April 1st. This mag will cover all aspects of BMX: race, street, dirt, ramp, and flat. Everyone seems to want to know what percentage of coverage will be assigned to each discipline; all we can say is that that is impossible to predict. We'll do our best to provide equal coverage, but the bottom line is that whatever notable happened that month in BMX will do more to dictate what ends up in the magazine. 
Christoph Huber has founded a new bike company calledMankind Bike Company ". The Mankind Asadi Frame, Stem, Sprocket, Handlebars(2), Ti Pegs and Clothing will be available at the end of April.
At the moment frame & parts prototypes are ridden by Markus Fischer and Christoph Huber. The frame weighs 2.45 kg (5.4 lbs), offers integrated headset (FSA campagnolo styles), Euro BB, heattreated 5mm dropouts and full Japanese Cr-Mo tubing. 20.5 & 20.8tt available. 
The people at Impact Skatepark have found another reason to throw a party. On Saturday 19 March next, the Great Birthday BMX-JAM will kick off at 6pm. It's possible to ride the park until midnight for 5 Euros and that includes a free Barbeque! That's cheaper than eating at McDonald's and you get to ride the park for 6 hours.
Next to the free BBQ there's also a band playing called Poor Boys. I never knew Steev Inge played in a band...

FRONT BRAKE REVOLUTION @ RAMPAGE
The FBR Rampage Jam is set to be one of the biggest, most memorable Jams of 2005. The confirmed rider list is absolutely insane and includes the following technicians: Rick Moliterno, Dave Osato, Chad Degroot, Dave Freimuth, Mike O’Connell, James Hitchcox, Brian Vowell, Anthony Pearson, Brian Kachinsky, Anthony Pill, Senad Grosic, Christoph Huber, Ben Foakes, Rob Nolli, Ryan Nyquist, Dennis Mccoy, Dan Seig, Dan Emerich, Eben Fischer, Jim Reinstra, Adam Banton, Neil Keddie, Tom Haughen, Mark Murphy and many more tbc.
The Jam takes place over the weekend of 18/19/20 March, with open jam sessions on Friday and Sunday (anyone welcome) and the huge Front Brake Revolution best trick Jam taking place throughout the day on Saturday. On Saturday night Rampage will host the new Orchid video premiere followed by the all-important after party and some “automobile pyrotechnics�. 
Matt "The Beard" Bischoff isn't a man of many words. In the small pasage he sent he's announcing a new website, a contest, some team filming and prototype frames and forks. Didn't fail to amaze us.

Most of the Failure team will be in Southern California riding and filming April 6-12. There will be a Failure/Red Bull contest at the Failure compound this summer. A ramp and trails jam. Attached are some pics.
