Following a harrowing accident in 2007 Stephen was paralysed from the neck down and is still confined to a wheelchair. X Games Minneapolis 2017 Competition Schedule Available Now at XGames.com
The competition schedule for the inaugural X Games Minneapolis at U.S. Bank Stadium is now available at XGames.com. More than 200 elite athletes will compete at the world’s premier action sports event July 13-16, 2017, with live coverage on ESPN and ABC and streaming live on WatchESPN and the ESPN app. Additional X Games Minneapolis content will also be available across ESPN digital platforms, including XGames.com, the X Games app, and X Games pages across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and more. The world’s top BMX athletes have been invited to the Road to X: Boise Qualifier, taking place June 10 at Rhodes Skate Park. The event serves as an official qualifying event for the X Games Minneapolis Park competitions. Twenty athletes will be invited to compete in each of the three disciplines – Men’s Skateboard Park, Women’s Skateboard Park and BMX Park. The top six Men’s Skateboard and BMX athletes and the top four Women’s Skateboard athletes not already invited will qualify into the X Games Minneapolis Park competition.
Ryan Nyquist (Santa Cruz, California) – A 16-time X Games medalist, Nyquist is the second most-decorated BMX athlete in X Games history. Nyquist has two Park gold medals and two Dirt gold medals, with his most recent podium being silver medal at X Games Barcelona 2013.

VANS PRESENTS THE FRESHNESS PACK, a new collection inspired by the 90’s
This spring season Vans introduces the Freshness Pack. Marked by the predominance of red, white and blue and taking inspiration from the 90’s, this range includes hoodies, graphic tees, accessories and footwear. The featured garments adopt a minimalist and 90’s anti-conformist approach to fashion, which is a contrast to flashy trends featured across other decades.

Spanish pro Sergio Layos leads the pack, winning the series’ first global qualifier event in Sydney, Australia last month, to set the tone for competition at his hometown proving grounds.
“Making it to the top of the podium at an event that I respect so much made me the happiest human on earth,” said Layos. “Going to Malaga for the next event and getting to ride with all my friends is going to be truly amazing.”

Simple Summer Session will go down in Riga, Latvia on August 26, 2017!
This summer the world’s most anticipated BMX event Simple Session will for the first time ever travel down south during the sunny Nordic summer to the very heart of the spectacular city of Riga, capital of Latvia. The best BMX PARK riders from around the world will go head to head on a massive outdoor course on the city’s legendary Freedom Monument bridge. This will be the summer to remember. With 17-years of history under it’s belt the Simple Session has grown into one of the most prestigious and international action sports contests in the world. Besides the notorious winter-season BMX+SKATE event series, Simple Session has hosted its BMX Park contests during the summer in the very heart of Estonia’s capital Tallinn and Finland's capital Helsinki. Now it’s time for Riga!

The Flame Trails in Helmond Brandevoort are calling for a get-together on Sunday 9 April. If you've always wanted to ride some dirt but never picked a day to actually do it, this is your chance. The dirt spot in Brandevoort has lots of rollers, and a line with some small doubles that take you around a full lap without pedaling once. For the little kids, or those who don't want to roll down the container for the first time, a little kids track is right there where you can warm up or get the skills down for the real deal. Lots of transfer lines are possible so even the most skilled BMX racer will find a challenge at the Flame Trails.
At 13:00hr the session will start. Around 17:00hr the session is over. No big deal if you're late as there's no real program. We'll make sure the spot is in good shape on April 9th for y'all to enjoy. Spread the word, tell your friends, load up that car with bikes. Helmond-Brandevoort Train station is a 5 minute pedal away if you want to max out that NS card on Sunday. Location: Sportpark Brandevoort, Kaldersedijk, Helmond, NL.
