With Zwanzig Zoll BMX magazine gone on the German newsstands, Freedom BMX was the sole player for a while. But any day the new BMX Rider magazines will pop up. That's competition for Freedom BMX but some competition is never bad. It keeps you on your toes and motivates you to make the best magazine time after time. Here's what's in the new issue:
The people at etnies know how it works. They not only sent a pair of the new Ruben Alcantara x Terrible One collaboration shoes, but they sent some Spanish alcoholic beveridge along with it. That always goes over well here at FATBMX. Ruben picked the existing RVM model shoe and got to work with it. He made it entirely out of synthetic material, chose the colours black, grey and sand and added some personal touches with it in the label on the tongue and the insole. It's easy, you do!
It's been a while since Lionel Cardoso, Alexis Desolneux and their crew put out the first issue of SOUL BMX Experience. If I remember right, the first issue had a horizontal format. It was cool to be different, but the magazines didn't stand up easily at the newsstands with the glossy paper it was printed on. Ever since then, it was back to the normal magazine format. Lately they've been coming with a DVD so the mag is wrapped in some plastic. The DVD plus the mag will set you back € 9,50 but you'll have the magazine articles in motion as well. Plus the Deluxe DVD: Part Deux added as a bonus.
It's not a hockey puck, it's not shoe cream, it's HB wax! With all the street riding going on and multiple sticky ledges and rails out there, this might just be what you need to keep your front teeth in your mouth. Wax it, and make it slide. What we used to do was get more speed, lean back a little and hope for the best. Now you can play it a bit safer with Hoffman Bikes wax. Comes with an easy tin can and HB sticker. We got two cans and will put them in the van for whoever needs it on their next grind. We'll wax that shit, so you can get your grind on.
This month’s issue of Ride BMX features some roads less traveled with the Redline team, a history piece on seven of today’s most popular tricks, a Dan Lacey interview, bangers from Empire’s Bad Idea, as well as Sean Ricany, Shane Weston, and more…
So much goes on at the Ride to Glory tour that RIDE UK fills an entire issue with the trip from all pics and stories that are gathered in the time that was spent on the road. The following brands had teams on the road:
Issue 44 is a showcase of the incredible diversity in the Australian BMX scene. And that is something we've proudly tried to capture since way back in issue 1. From the cover that captures a shoot which utilised over 350 thousand dollars worth of camera gear and one of the worlds most progressive riders in Kyle Baldock, to the pure DIY ethic of Anchor BMX's DVD, the individuals and identities that make Australian BMX rock are all here.
Just in time for the summer holidays giving you something to read on your next road trip. Freedom #106 is here and comes with a Tom Dugan/Sergio Layos poster and lots to read:
