Dean Dickinson's a pool shark. He's ridden over 100 of them, most of them found on google earth. It's a mission every time to find it and empty it enough so it's rideable. "You should write a book about it!" is something Dean must have heard plenty of times and that's exactly what he did. Dean wrote the book and media legends Mike Daily edited it, Mark Lewman lead the project, Taj Mihelich did the drawings and Jared Souney and Ryan Davis designed it. The book's got 192 pages so it's not just a little side project. Some serious time and effort went into this.
A while ago we received a pair of THE Maxi guards to try out. We've done so and they came through the test well. They're comfy to wear and not too bulky, but still padded enough that they work on impact. Even slipping a pedal to the knee took the hit even though there is no hard plastic shell connected to it. You can wear them underneath your pants and strap them on with two straps so they sit tight. The liner makes sure it stays in place as well. You will have to take your shoes off to put them on but that's the effort you've got to take if you don't want to mess up your knees.

Everyone and their uncle needs a backpack at some point. It's the easiest way to carry your pads to the park, the easiest way to carry a laptop and a camera plus that extra rain jacket in case the clouds are getting real dark. Backpacks have so many features, from special cable holes for your headphones, drink holders, key chain hooks and extra straps on the outside to carry a board or an extra light stand. Every backpack differs, that's why FOX has so many to choose from in
Not riding with protection gear might be cool as fuck, but it's about that one moment where you lose control and get down. Or that one scooter kid that didn't look out and forces you to fly off the course into the ditch. Moments like that is when you wish you had padded up. It happens to the best riders out there so
