Brian Kachinski is recovering from a bum knee. He's got this bike waiting for him to take on any rail in any town. Go through his parts list to see what you're missing on your bike.
Impure, Indecent, Lecherous, Lustful, Obscene, Offensive, and Smutty. It's not that they're not warning you for the content of Pusher Biker magazine. It might not be for everybody but it sure has its following. Clay Brown and his long list of contributors finished issue number twenty just in time for the summer to start. 48 full colour pages in 'zine size, filled with kinky girls, porn reviews, stoner news , an adult entertainment ad with a discount coupon and a local bar advertisement. But there's more. Lots of BMX in fact. The weed-sale financed computer has done its job and Clay is getting good with it.
Odessa Footwear's first BMX DVD follows team members Josh Bedford, James Newrick, Cleggy, Mark Tanner, Tom Blyth, James Cox, Dean Hearne, Kelly Bolton and Bomber round Barcelona, Spain for 9 days. A good question is; how do they do this? If you look at the slideshow, it's nothing but drinking the night away and having fun. How can you get up in the morning and produce for a video? Only true pros can do that. We're not sure how much of a boozer Kelly Bolton is but he sure delivered the tricks that the rest of the gang did not want to do or simply could not do. Kelly is a maniac and rides his bike really well. Barcelona is a good city for street riding. Most spots have been covered but not with a bunch like this.
We've got so many magazines and videos laying around that we're trying to make it through the stack. If you sent something in, be patient, it will probalby take a while but we can only try. The April issue of BMX Plus! arrived last week and it's got a super light bike on the cover. At 18 lbs it's one of the lightest and once you hop on this machine it will be a piece of cake to pull that triple whip to fufanu. It's all in the bike you know. Wade Lajler gets the contents page with a rad double footplant tailwhip in an igloo. Gotta check that one. All kinds of news, reviews, b-day calendars and the usual BMX Plus! items can be found in the Inside Scoop section. The 18 lbs bike gets reviewed, there's a race how-to on "the first jump" (how to take it fast) before the Premium complete bike gets tested. BMX PLUS! isn't afraid to post flatland articles or do reports on flatland contests/jams. Love, Passion, Flat is a 5 page report on the Long Beach jam. Amanda Geving's bike gets inspected and some girls are showing off some Zip-up threads. Which one do you like best?
Mike Osso, Tom White, Paul Horan, Jared Washington, George Dossantos, Van Homan, Vinnie Sammon, Wormz, Bob Scerbo and Edwin Delarosa. If you're familiar with these riders and like what they do, you should buy the new issue of DIG. Huh? Yup, it comes with an Animal Bikes (A. Bike Co. if you live in the UK) DVD full of true street riding. Even though it's just 8 minutes long, it's a good way to get motivated to grab your bike and hit the streets. It's filmed by Navaz and Jerry and edited by Bob "freecoasters rock" Scerbo. The additional filming was done by Tyrone, Bob, Duke Stevens, Willie Lopez and Wiz. The beats come from Strength of Will, and Immortal Technique. When you're reading this and you can't find issue 57 of Dig anywhere, contact A-Bikes to see if it's possible to get your
The winter 2007 issue of Sophisticated Rider just came out and it has a good mix of BMX, FMX, Skateboarding and snowboarding in it. On the BMX front there's an article on this year's Simpel Session in Estonia by Ronnie Surridge (there he is again!), a 5 minutes interview with Sidewall/Hoffman Bikes' Mark Owen, the Woodward Am Jam, BMX scholarship? bring it! There's an article on the Vert Gathering at Woodward where JMB gets a big shot doing a turndown and Koji Kraft scores the poster with a stylish lean back seatgrab turnbar. More vert in the form of rider bios on Francisco "Coco" Zurita and Zack Warden makes this issue a must see for any vert dawg out there. Soph rider 7 also has an interview with Daniel Dhers and Anthony Napolitan who both made a strong appearance on the contest scene in 2006. This must sound like a full on BMX magazine but there is loads more on FMX, sk8 and snowboarding.
