Atom Deemers video Make Moves is a very chilled out affair with original music accompanying the riding through out the video. The video as a whole has a good flow to it being edited into one seamless reel giving it a chapterless feel. Tennesee rider Kevin Friskel has his own section which has him throwing his bars of everything and anything. 2-Hips Jarrod Allen throws in some Santa Cruz moves while super low key Jake Honesto pulls crazy tricks as usual.
Okay, you want an old school bike and have some money to spend but you don't want to go to e-bay each day to get the bike together part by part. Well, you don't have to now. SE Racing came out with a retro looptail PK Ripper that looks the part. It might not be your cup of tea when you just started out riding but I'm positive jaws will drop when the old school guys see the bike. It brings back memories to the time when two people were holding the starting gate (pre lights and magnets) and one-pedal starts. When it was okay to put your leg out in the turn and nobody was complaining about the bumps in the track.
BMX Plus! goes street with the cover of their August 2007 issue. They're going even more street with their contents spread of a brakeless Jeff Maddox doing a bank to truck/wall ride with no helmet on. There was a time that you wouldn't make it in the mag if you didn't wear a helmet. That's whjen it was really hard for flatland riders to get a photo in the mag. The August issue has a special on flatland rider Terry Adams who goes clubbing with his bike in a limo and no, he didn't wear a helmet while doing flatland demos in several clubs. If you're a photographer you might want to get your hands on this issue. Plus! is giving away a Mirraco Black Pearl Ltd and a pair of Guettler's Whip shoes in a photo contest. Might be worth the $ 3.99 to get that official 2007 Mirraco Giveaway Ballot. Fit's Flow Park complete bike gets tested and it scores more hits than misses. Plus! also has a kinked rail how-to featuring a rider with no brakes, no helmet and tats.
Heath Pinter has a friend who plays American Football. He had some spare land in his backyard and told Heath he could build some trails there. The place is amazing. See Chase Hawk shred the place in action by clicking right here. Chase also made the cover on that Riverside spot of the new RIDE BMX mag (#135). What else is in the new issue? Read on.
Carhartt Europe supports BMX in a big way. They've got a full team of shredders, support contests like the Rebel Jam and advertise on FATBMX and other media. Their latest involvement with BMX is a wethepeople-Carhartt grip. It's a short run of grips so if you want a set, make sure to contact wethepeople or Carhartt and ask which shop carries them.
We have been dragging the camera equipment around in regular backpacks for ages. Never owned one of those original Camera bags and before the camera, flash or any of the lenses got damaged, it was time to look into one. The O'Gio Atiba Mini bag became the choice and TM Fuzz helped out with that one (thanks). The size is actually perfect. We've never been known for carrying truckloads of camera stuff to contests and all we have fits in this Mini rucksack. It has multiple adjustable compartments that you can fit the the size that you need.
We received the new Soul BMX magazine from France today. On the cover: Jersey pocket air to axel stall on a roof by our french superman Jerome Gauthier!
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
