The backcover of the Eastern Bikes D.I.Y. Roadtrip DVD sums up the free goodie perfectly. Who are we to try to say it any better. "Eastern Bikes decided to take some of the team on a little roadtrip. The plan was to ride, have fun, take photos and shoot some video. Well, the photographer had to work and the video guy fell through. Not stopping us from going anyway, we decided to do everything ourselves. You'll notice some out of focus pics, more than enough dirty lens shots and a few sketchy camera angles.

The new year has started for RIDEBMX and the January issue has arrived at Paul's Boutique. New format, new paper, new logo and two different covers to make the change a bit more interesting. Paul's Boutique received the street cover (Tom White). You as a subscriber might receive a different one. Anyway, here's what's in it:
It's the 12th issue of BMX World together proving that a 100% race magazine can make it and it might have something to do with that big race that is coming up next year; the Olympics. Bob Osborn wrote an article about going to the Olympics that will probably scare you off. People want to go to the Games but with 75% of the tickets being sold to the Chinese (without a possibility to transfer them) and the rest being sold to professional Olympic Package companies all over the world, your chances are slim scoring a ticket for the ultimate
When Freedom 78 dropped on the floor we heard a big bang. Wow, this must be the biggest issue ever! We opened up the plastic bag and noticed that it had two catalogs inside, one from Sport Import and one from La Finca. This kind of catalog distribution has become popular because you know that if someone subscribes to a magazine, he's a potential customer. Anyway, even with both catalogs removed we have some weight in our hands with the 78th Freedom issue that features Robin Fenlon on the cover. "Flat is Dead" is a T-shirt that must be in the running for T-shirt of the year together with: "That is a dope T-shirt" from T1. Lowcash show the shirt on page 7 where colleage Matti explains why flat is dead. They're both flatland riders in case you did not know.

Paul at Paul's Boutique just received a new shipment of S&M and FIT Bike Co. product. This included Matt Beringer's small and large bar ends, the Grand Slam bars, Fit Bike Co stems in gold and black, Summer of FIT DVD's, Mid BB brackets from FIT and blue FIT grips.
There was a time when Dig magazine came out, when it came out. There was no schedule (maybe there was but making the deadlines wasn't always easy) and it wasn't even sure if there would be a next issue. Those were the days when BMX wasn't big, but is sure was fun. Times have changed. DIGBMX mag is on a monthly schedule now and pulling off an issue in 31 days is a tough job. 132 pages fill the Am issue which, you guessed it, is full of Amateur BMX riders. Because there are so many good riders, it's hard to get noticed. DIG helps out with their November/December book. Josh Bedford gets the cover. Josh who? exactly. Not your typical Dew Tour athlete or someone you have seen on Roadfools but there are times when the Am days are over and for Josh that time has come as he moved up to the Pro team at Mutiny. The amateur hour article features the following riders;
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
