A few years ago I tried on some Oakley gloves with carbon fibre knuckle protection. I laughed at first but once I tried them on they felt good. The same was the case with these POC Index gloves that arrived in the mail. Thing is, you don't really feel the hard shields around your knuckles and it makes you feel like you can punch through the wall. Not that you need that extra knuckle protection all the time but if you hit the asphalt (racing turns) or hit the side of the ramp
At S&M they're always busy. Next to welding their own stuff, they are doing more and more distribution work for different brands. Orchid Footwear for instance will be on their program for 2010. The whole new ordering system should be in place in the beginning of 2010 as well which must be a hell of a job to set up. A new product for dealers on this system will be the Stay Strong Stem. It's a Redneck XLT with a Stay Strong logo on the front to help the Stephen Murray fund. If you need a new stem, get this one. It will last forever and you
You don't hear all that much of Session BMX magazine. I think lots of you don't even know it exists or where to get it. Issue #7 came in and in the time that they had to finish an issue, they sure collected lots of stuff for it. It's not that they have a big well known staff of photographers that you see at events. The mag consists of contributions from a lot of talented guys out there that don't always make the cut at "the big mags" with their own staff. And on this quality paper the shots come out great. 132 pages in total bring you a.o. a Daily Grind with Ricardo Laguna (does he run pegs?), Ryan Guettler's top 10 tunes, a bike check with Roman Tencza, Nasty's Stephen Murray benefit jam, Big in Bavaria dirt comp, X15, a night on the town with Cam Wood, Sam Schlappi interview, Mike Payne bio, the Gatorade demo with Nigel Sylvester and friends, Old School BMX Reunion, the Freestyle BMX World's in Cologne, and that's just part of the list. Now where do you find Session Mag?
-Frame: full Crmo w/ MID BB shell, integrated head tube & welded seat-clamp
What's in a name? The Snafu 8.6 bars do have a story behind it. If you're not familiar with the Bavaria 8.6 beers I'll let you know that it's a heavy brew, made in Lieshout, Netherlands. In fact one day McGoo, Sully, Paul and I rode our bikes there to have a few brewski's. The 8.6 beer is strong. It had Day Smith pass out at the 1994 FATJAM after drinking two of them. But McGoo became the king
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
