Over the weekend we heard some shocking news. B&D Verlag, publisher of Freedom BMX magazine and also a MX, Sk8board, and MTB mag is bankrupt. What!!?? I immediately felt for the people who are working there and also thought about the history of the magazine. If you're at number 94, you do want to make it to number 100, at least. So far the insolvence company has picked up the paychecks that's why issue #94 is here. Also the next magazine (#95) is in the works. What happens after that remains to be seen. Here's the options:
Who would have thought CASE BMX, the free BMX magazine would make it to issue number three. Well, Mike and his crew of course. And dealing with some strong magazine competition in the UK and the popularity of the internet hasn't turned the Case crew down one bit. The new issue has lots to offer and with a new designer, it also got a new look. UK BMX shops should have the new issue in their store this week with the USA following in a week or so. Issue #3 has got:
The Spring / Summer 2010 collection offers a fantastic range of shirts. You’ll find regular as well as classic button down shirts of both long-sleeved and short-sleeved made of all different kinds of fabrics: denim, poplin, chambray, oxford, madras and summer flanell. All checked and striped shirts are made of yarn dyed fabrics, which accentuate the graphic pattern and bring out the bright and strong colours.
Sometimes you think things can't get any better. Believers in the ODI Longneck grip could ride that grip for the rest of their life. But here's some news for you. Stay Strong are bringing out the Stay Strong Longneck. Yes, made by ODI so expect the same quality and feel. Neal Wood actually drew up these grips for Stephen/Stay Strong and they're looking awesome. Available later this year in various colours. Get your orders in.

FRONT END
It has been a while since there was a BMX magazine available in The Netherlands. It all started with Fietscross magazine, then BMX Trickx, and I'm sure there have been some other efforts to get an issue or two printed. FAT 'zine wasn't a full colour A4 sized BMX magazine but Serious BMX seems to be all that. Available next week and focused on BMX racing. The premiere issue has a report about the Leatt Brace test day in Wijchen, race reports from the Supercross in Madrid, the UEC rounds 6&7, TC 1,2,3, the Dutch Championships in Kampen and the NFF NK in Nuland. Issue 1 has some interviews too so it will be interesting to see how the mag looks.
Why does a website in The Netherlands have to be the first ones showing what's inside the new issue of BMX Plus! magazine? Maybe because we're on it. Nasty scores the cover with a style that has put him on the front page of a magazine before. We've listed 5 of them after the jump. Some of them go way back. Good to see Nasty dawg still at it. Other dirt legend, TJ Lavin gets the double spread contents page and here's the list:
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
