EPICTV ANNOUNCES FIRST SHORT FILM COMPETITION. COMPETITORS GIVEN SIXTY SECONDS TO WIN OVER €20,000 OF GEAR
EpicTV - in association with Polk BOOM - is today announcing a new quarterly competition called Boooom Fest, which aims to unearth the very best in short action and adventure films. Amateur and professional filmmakers are being encouraged to submit their sixty-second BMXing, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, skateboarding, skiing and snowboarding films as well as BASE and wingsuit flying videos.
The first ever Boooom Fest will launch on 1 May. Submissions will be accepted at .epictv.com/content/boooomfest-summer-2015 until 26 July, when an expert panel will review the clips. This

Ready for the first EX&HOP Contest of the year?! As it will still be a little while till the events in Munich we are starting the season a little earlier this year with the EX&HOP Cash4Tricks Contest at the RAP AGAINST Festival in Vienna, Austria.
Two days of BMX and Skateboarding on the portable FURTHER Streetpark at one of the most beautiful squares of the Austrian capital: the Karlsplatz. The Riders from all over, as well as Austrian’s BMX Legend Senad Grosic announced their coming and are ready to shred the course.
Besides prize money of 1000€ there will be great stuff by Blue Tomato and SP Gadgets to be won at the CASH4TRICKS Sessions.
The park will open at 2pm on 29. April 2015, CASH4TRICKS Sessions will start at 5pm (Skate) and 6pm (BMX). Thursday the open training will beginn at noon and again from 5pm on the Cash4Tricks Sessions will take place.

After 30 years of BMX in the “Kölner Jugendpark” our motivation to organize this event has not changed. We always were driven by the passion for our sport BMX. To provide a platform where BMX is recognized as a sport and culture rather than a circus or stunt-show has always been in our focus. To show the variety that BMX has to offer has always been a main part of our concept. BMX at the Jugendpark has become a ritual to us and to thousands of BMX lovers from all over the world.
In 2015 the BMX CGN will take a break. It’s time for a concept overhaul and to give the venue the opportunity to improve its infrastructure to secure the future of BMX at this very special location. Since 2011 we have been facing higher standards and restrictions set by the City of Cologne year by year. Now it has reached a level that makes it impossible for us to proceed the way we did it in the past. We were working on solutions, but for this year’s event we are running out of time.
Nick Ziegler's homies over at FIT & S&M and The Building distro sent over some parts for the Midwest bmx donation program to build some more bikes for kids. Here is the latest creation from help from many people and Nick himself. He decided to build a bike and do a nation wide search to find this bike a perfect home with a girl rider. After talking with Chris Moeller, he sent me over to Angie Marino. Me, Chris and Angie will do some kind of contest to see who needs a new bike the most and give this bike away.

With the announcement of Tony Hawk and all new Vert ramp, NASS is proud to announce the introduction of BMX Vert and Skate competitions. Some of the biggest names in BMX join an all-star cast to battle it over a weekend of the best in class for BMX Vert. UK BMX Vert Series 2014 Pro Champion Mike Mullen will be joined by a slew of incredible riding talent, including 2013 winner Paul Meacher, Fabien Giess and Declan Brooks with many more riders still to be announced.
This sees a welcome return for the Vert ramp to NASS and Mike Mullen and Co have the pleasure of being the first to drop in on a brand new build ramp for the occasion. Each rider will be looking to claim their slice of the £2,000 prize pot and to ride away with the claim of being the NASS Pro Vert BMX Champion.
