Flying across the Atlantic Ocean for a BMX contest isn't something we do every week. But when the opportunity is there, we take it. 25 riders made the trek down to Guadelajara for the first edition of the Red Bull Dirt Conquers event. After some practice on Friday, everyone hopped on a bus to go to "Tequila town" for an excursion and some tequila testing. The vibe got better and better until the storm came in and everyone jumped back in the bus. It rained all night long so it wasn't clear how the dirt ramps had held up. Fortunately the Soil Tec and the concrete that was mixed in the dirt helped keep the place in tact so the program could get on.
On the final day 15.000 people showed up and yes, they did plenty of "Mexican waves" which were awesome.
