The Liberation Jam in Tilburg was another excuse to get together and ride together. It's a theme that Team Neighbor lives by and fits well in the Dutch BMX scene. After 5 weeks of amazing sunshine and summer temperatures in Holland also this day was a good one. We are welcoming Global Warming as long as the dikes keep the water out.
Perfect trails, a good atmosphere and sunshine all around: Those were the conditions for the first T-Mobile Local Support Challenge in the Abflughalle Grevenbroich on the weekend of 21st of April 2007. All in all ten BMX teams from all regions of Germany had a great battle in front of the judges Andy Zeiss, Achim Kujawski and Sari Jörgensen. It was all about top-prizes, like a new Local Support Obstacle or a complete BBQ party. Furthermore there was a T-Mobile Wildcard to be had, awarded to the best unsponsored BMX rider who would then be able to move directly into the finals of the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds event in Herten on the 12th of May.

Bart pretty much summed up Singapore in his last entry so I'll try to stick to the PIG game this time... Like Bart said they bussed us from the "metro" hotel downtown about 20 minutes to our new home, the Siloso Beach Resort. I think shock and awe pretty much sums up everyone's reaction when we first rolled up. Jay Miron filled
What holidays are more appreciated than those who not only contains the absence of school, but also good times with bikes and friends? The recently finished Easter holiday was just a vacation like that; an opportunity to get away from the tedious weekdays and travel around the country with a bunch of good friends. I (Jon Bokrantz) and Adrian Malmberg had been talking about a trip down to Linköping over the Easter week-end, basically just to get away from home and peacefully enjoy some riding and friendship. But after some discussions forth and back we came up with the idea of extending the former plan and make it into a one week roadtrip. We loosely planned the trip and hoped for consistent luck rather than spending hours of preparation to come up with a strict schedule. So on Thursday morning I threw my bags and my bike into the car and headed down south.

Here are some highlights of the Metro BMX Jam finalists. It was an incredible contest with a high standard of riding.
With rain showing up at the end of group 3 on Saturday, the plan was to move it up into the night. Just when everything had dried up it started to rain again and plan B was to start first thing in the morning. For most of the riders 8am is pretty damn early but when Jay Miron and Paul Roberts ask you to cooperate after you've been flown to the other side of the world for a contest, you just say; "No Problem." The bar looked pretty empty on Saturday night and at 00:30am it was just BiBi and myself finishing up our last drink. Bibi had already ridden his qualifying session and didn't have to get on the bike at 8am.
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
