“I woke up feeling shitty. We went to Fort Adams & rode the street course. The “Extreme” Jumping Contest started at 8pm. I qualified 4th and the got 5th in the finals. I won $350.
1st- Jay Miron,
2nd-Taj Mihelic,
3rd- Jimmy Garcia,
4th- Jimmy Levan. 

The CNEMA in Santarém – Portugal, will receive the final of the Eastpak BMX Series presented by Carhartt, that will take place in the days 3 and 4 of November. The contest is inserted in Festival Bike, the biggest national exposition of bicycles, where you will have the opportunity to attend to others activities and take a look in the news from the different modalities of the two wheels.

Between the best portuguese athletes will be presented three invited riders: Mark Webb and Mike Miller from England and Daniel Penafiel from Spain.

In this round we will have a free session of Dirt and a prize money of 1000€ to distribute for the firsts classified of Professional. The national champs that will be announced later, will have other prize money of 1000€. 

The biggest skatepark in the world lays in Shanghai, China. When you receive an invite to go there, you should not think twice. Some American riders went there last weekend for a Park and Vert contest. This is how they ended up:

It has been a week since the last round of the Dew Tour took place in Orlando. A week in "internet land" is a long time but we have a stack of photos that Sean Hargraves sent us that we wanted to show you before the 2007 Dew chapter closes. The Playstation Pro trick of the week and trick of the year helped Mike Spinner get the car he wanted. Daniel Dhers mentioned he was going to buy a Mercedes from the Overall Park bonus, Jamie Bestwick won the vert title and will spend the money wisely on the family and Ryan Nyquist just has 

We received photos from three angles about this show that Jan Valenta and Mat Hoffman did at the Reunion Island off the South Africa East Coast. Looks like that had a good time and managed to survive riding in front of a big crowd on a shady vert ramp. Mat didn't just bring his bike either...check the pics for a photo report.

-Jan Valenta from Czech Republic is writing. I spend one week with Mat Hoffman on the Reunion Island. (This Island lies easterly from madagaskar Island). We rode there with SK8 and In-line dudes one demo in local vert ramp for local french speaking people. Atmosphere was so good. Nice hot weather, nice girls and Mat Hoffman in the ramp! ou yeah thanx. -Mat Hoffman: I just got back from a demo on a little island off the east coast of South Africa called Reunion.  I brought my paragliders and flew off the sides of some volcano's.  It was an amazing experience.  

It has been a tough year for the dirt jumpers after seeing buddy Stephen Murray get paralyzed at one of the events earlier in the season. Riding in a pro dirt contest is hard enough for the head but adding Murray's unfortunate crash to this, it only makes it harder. Am I really going to try this new trick on these big sets today? Is it worth it? Can I just cruise through qualifying and go big in the finals? All questions that those riders up on the starting hill had to think about. The thing is, cruising through qualifying is not an option any more. You have to stick your tricks, make it through the sets and also you have to show some new moves. The competition is so close that if you fail to do either one, you're out.

It was cool to see close friend and fellow Rockstar team rider Luke Parslow win the last stop. He must have put strength out of the situation and thought to himself: "This one's for you Stephen" before dropping in. Congrats to Luke and Stephen, Stay Strong!

The Park finals results are in and it's Daniel Dhers who held things in his own hands. The leader of the Park standings coming into Orlando proved why he was in that position. After winning qualifying, he also won the finals followed by Spinner and Nyquist with Mirra in 4th.

Dhers, 22, executed a flawless first run that included a corked 720 turndown, one of his signature moves. He later completed a front flip over the spine, another Dhers original. The Venezuelan won with a final score of 94.67, securing the Dew Cup title for the second consecutive year.

Mike Spinner, 19, of Miami, Fla., completed two 1080s to finish a close second with 94.17 points. Spinner also placed second overall in Dew Cup standings. Ryan Nyquist, 28, of Greenville, N.C., was third with 92.67 points.

About 3 weeks ago there was a small jam/contest in our local skatepark in Siegen, a not so big city close to Cologne. It was the beginning of October so the weather wasn't very good but anyway, besides a small shower which took only bout 15 minutes the weather stayed good. The riders came from all over North Rhein Westphalia, the Cologne guys, some riders from the Bielefeld area, Timm Wiegmann from Oldenburg, Fischi from Leipzig and of course the Siegen locals were there!

When nothing is happening in your town you can do two things:
1) Complain about it
2) Make shit happen
Timo van Lierop took things into his own hands and organised another "TIMO jam" at the local ramp in Aarle-Rixtel. Not all that much is necessary to set up a jam but one has to do it and Timo got a permit, collected some prices from Paul's Boutique and Eastpak, made sure he got some power for the stereo and got it done.
