The plan is still to get together on 7 February (3pm-4pm) at the Brooklyn Banks with like-minded people who want to catch up. We understand it has been cold in NYC lately but we're a few weeks away and things can change quickly, especially the weather. And if it's cold? We'll still be there, or around the corner in a warm place getting a coffee. The Brooklyn Banks are an iconic place, for skateboarding and BMX-ing alike. It's special. It's got history. A lot happened there. The place was closed for years, but is back open. We want to hear the stories. One rider who's got some stories about the spot is Cult's very own Robbie Morales. You spent a lot of time riding the Brooklyn Banks during your years in New York. What do you remember most vividly about that place and the energy it had back then?
Robbie Morales: Just hearing the words bklyn banks got us fired up, we were racers who wanted to jump so hearing there were banks made us want to search them out. Regardless of how sketchy getting there could be.

The Brooklyn Banks were a key spot during your time riding for Base Brooklyn and Zoo York. How did that location influence your riding style and progression?
Robbie Morales: Enos Colombo and the Base crew were the first guys I knew who wanted to ride everything. Without them there would have been no scene. Zoo was so hot at the time I witnessed 2 kids fist fight over a Zoo sticker. Getting a pass from the OG Zoo crew was amazing, was honored to be a part of the movement.
