Introduction "It's been over 4 years since I first had contact from a young 17 year old lad from Brecon. I will admit I was taken aback as he claimed to be a flatlander and was looking for other welsh flatlanders to ride with. Brecon - now you couldn't get an area less flat - the Army use it for territorial practice if that says anything. Hill walkers, rock climbers all favour this area. But a flatlander up there? Surely not. Anyway, after hundreds of pestering emails over the next year from him I decided to make an effort and see if this guy actually existed and catch him riding on home turf. And boy was I shocked at how good he actually was. Matti would travel to Abergavenny and ride the bus station, dodging the influx of buses and motorcyclists while happily riding to his favourite beats. Not an ideal situation but it's what he had to do to ride until he got his license. Since then he's become a regular visitor to various car parks, skateparks and government buildings around South Wales in his quest for riding flatland. Amazing is one word to describe how good he has become from back then, not just as a rider but also as a friend.
