Hey there, adrenaline junkies and daredevils! Today, we are delving into a world where the smell of burning rubber meets the intoxicating allure of high-stakes risk-taking. Hold on tight as we explore why BMX riders are flocking to the neon-lit tables of chance and why they just can't seem to get enough of the gambling rush! I guess any source of adrenaline will do for those guys…
Match Made in Adrenaline Heaven
What do BMX and gambling have in common? Exactly, risk and adrenaline. It turns out that BMX riders are not just thrill-seekers on the ramps and streets; they've also got a taste for the adrenaline rush that comes with gambling. From the screeching sound of tires on concrete to the intense flick of a playing card, the two worlds seem to collide effortlessly. But what exactly makes these daredevils so interested in taking chances in the realm of gambling?
Many BMX riders see gambling as an extension of their love for risk-taking. While they calculate the odds and gauge the potential outcomes of their tricks, they bring the same mindset to the casino table or poker night with friends. Whether it's landing a perfect backflip or hitting the jackpot on a slot machine, the surge of adrenaline and euphoria of success are remarkably similar.
Risk, Reward, and the Rush
"At the end of 2008, Mark Mulville sketched a rudimentary design on a napkin. He brought that napkin into the Profile machine shop and within a week, the Profile 40 load stem, now discontinued, was modified into a top load design that would, soon after, get the moniker "The Profile Push Stem." Coming on 15 years old, Mulville's Push stem quickly became, and has remained, one of Profile's most popular products.

Berlin is no Barcelona, but the city does have it's fair share of good spots, a laid-back atmosphere and a top-notch night life to boot. Lewis Rogers, Rory McLean, David McKean and Luke Jackson took a trip from Scotland to the German capitol, where they met up with Federal's newest recruit, Wibke Vogel. Jacob Campbell captured it all for 'Nächste", which is now available for your viewing pleasure. Good stuff!
The Munich Mash concept seems to work. Thousands of spectators came to the Olympia Park in Munich to witness the sickness and BMX was one of the highlights. It's fair to say between 5000-7000 were sitting on the natural bank to watch the finals on Sunday. 8 riders had made the cut while 4 had to watch from the sidelines after Saturday's qualification phase. The morning rain disappeared and a last practice/warm-up session could be held in order for Jacob Thiem, Tom "Richter" Justice, Sergio Layos, Bryce Tryon, Kieran Reilly, Shaun Gornall, Declan Brooks and Sikharin Supanmart to get ready for the big final. Live TV, a big crowd, prestige and some good prize money were on the line and as usual the energy given by the MC's and the crowd helped step it up.
Brett Silva organized a strong handful of friends and riders to make this 2nd annual Darty Jam materialize in Austin. Here we dig a little deeper into what made this jam one to remember... In the name of Brett Wickersham, BRETT 4 LIFE!
Riding BMX doesn’t become a career for everyone but almost everyone has tried their hand at BMXing once or twice in their life. Why wouldn’t they? It’s a blast after all. Here we shine a light on some household names who have been caught in the act of BMXing when you perhaps associatethem to stuff that is a tad safer and more mainstream.
What celebs ride BMX?
Slash
You might not immediately put rock music and BMX together but Guns and Roses man Slash certainly did. At least he used to. In fact, the man himself has revealed that he was big into his BMX biking. Not only did Slash own several bikes but he did more than just use them as a mode of transport; explaining his decision to leave BMXing alone back in 2014 the musician revealed that he was too concerned that his jumps and stunts would lead to injury that would ultimately jeopardise his music career. We wish he’d carry on – and he might yet restart as he still owns his bikes – but we can understand why Slash called it a day. BMX is not for the feint hearted.
Zayn Malik
Sticking with the music industry, another star who has been spotted on his BMX is One Direction singer Zayn Malik. Malik, who found fame on British television talent show ‘The X-Factor’ back in 2010,
The final stop of the BMX Triple Challenge went down in Nashville this weekend. The squad of riders was a bit lower due to some injuries, event conflicts, and I think some sentiments that people were out of the race for the overall title. Some weather cancelled the plans for Friday, so they dropped the LCQ/Semi-Finals and ran 20 riders down to eight. Even with the lower group of riders, the level never ceases to amaze...
